Character Lineup Announced for Disney’s Jollywood Nights in 2024
Disney has announced a new and returning character lineup for Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2024. This year’s event will feature over 20 unique character meet-and-greets. We’ve shared the lineup below, along with a few photos from last year’s event.
We’ve updated this article to reflect changes made by Disney in the character lineup.
Disney Jollywood Nights 2024 Characters
New characters announced for this year’s event include:
- Baloo and King Louie
- José Carioca or Panchito
- Bo Peep or Lotso
- The Mandalorian (Recently Added)
- Joy from ‘Inside Out’ (Recently Added)
The following characters will return in 2024:
- Phineas and Ferb
- Max Goof as Powerline
- Rescue Rangers Chip ‘n’ Dale
- Santa Stitch
- Santa Duffy
- Edna Mode and Frozone
- Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, or Pluto
- Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
Where to Find These Characters at the Party
As of now, Disney has listed the following locations for these characters at the party. However, remember that entertainment is subject to change. So there could be changes.
- Baloo and King Louie from Talespin (Echo Lake)
- José Carioca or Panchito from The Three Caballeros (Animation Courtyard)
- Bo Peep or Lotso from the Toy Story movies (the entrance to Toy Story Land)
- The Mandalorian – appearing at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
- Joy from Inside Out – appearing at Pixar Place
All six of these new additions can be considered exceptionally rare. We’ve seen Baloo and King Louie a few times lately as surprise characters at Hollywood Studios. But we’ve never seen them as Talespin characters.
As most of you know, I’ve met many characters over the years at Walt Disney World, but have also never met José Carioca or Panchito. They have made appearances in pop-up parades at Magic Kingdom in the past. But I cannot think of a time when they’ve had a regular meet-and-greet.
Bo Peep met for a limited time in Toy Story Land when that area of the park first opened. She has also made a few appearances at Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios. Lotso was formerly a character at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. The last time he met there was in 2019. I don’t believe he’s made an appearance since then.
We also have a few changes for returning characters. Disney has provided a list of their locations.
- Phineas and Ferb – appearing at Echo Lake
- Max Goof as Powerline – appearing at Echo Lake
- Rescue Rangers Chip ‘n’ Dale – appearing at Echo Lake
- Santa Stitch – appearing at Celebrity Spotlight at Echo Lake
- Santa Duffy – appearing at Santa’s Workshop at Grand Avenue
- Edna Mode and Frozone from The Incredibles – appearing at Pixar Plaza
- Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, or Pluto – appearing by Pixar Plaza
- Minnie Mouse – appearing at Red Carpet Dreams on Commissary Lane
Most of these character’s locations have changed from last year. However, it appears that Phineas and Ferb, Max Goof as Powerline, and Rescue Rangers Chip ‘n’ Dale will once again meet at Echo Lake. We met all three characters around the lake at last year’s party.
