Meet Mirabel and Bruno at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mirabel and Bruno Madrigal from Encanto meet guests during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While they do meet at Fairytale Garden near Cinderella Castle, we found them in another location, which turned out to be a surprise twist. Here’s how it all played out.
After meeting Anna and Elsa in their holiday attire at Princess Fairytale Hall, I was off to the Enchanted Glade Gazebo in Liberty Square to meet Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. When I arrived, it was 9:15 p.m., and approximately 10 guests were ahead of me. After standing in line for a moment, I noticed that Mirabel and Bruno were meeting guests in the gazebo. This caused me to do a double-take. Earlier that evening, I had walked by Fairytale Garden and saw that Mirabel and Bruno had a long line of guests waiting to meet them.
So what were they doing in Liberty Square? When I got to the front of the line, a cast member explained that they move Mirabel and Bruno to the Enchanted Glade Gazebo between the first parade and the evening fireworks. They then take a break during the fireworks and resume meeting at Fairytale Garden afterward.
I was told this should be pretty regular. So if you’re hoping to meet Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen, I wouldn’t leave it up to chance. You’ll want to meet them earlier rather than later. We returned to meet them later, and they were not available. Their times were also removed from the app.
Anyway, it was still great to meet Mirabel and Bruno. They are quite entertaining, especially Bruno. He was a little camera shy at first and hid behind the Christmas tree!
A PhotoPass photographer was available at this location (and at Fairytale Garden), and both members of the Madrigal family signed autographs. You’ll want to make sure to have your autograph book out and ready before your turn.
It was 9:24 p.m. when we met them, which was less than a 10-minute wait! For reference, guests were lined up to meet them at their formal location as early as 6:30 p.m. The Enchanted Glade Gazebo is a little off the beaten path, which is probably why the line wasn’t so long.
Mirabel and Bruno are listed on the party map, and they might be in the My Disney Experience app. We didn’t see them in the app on the evening of the party we attended. If, for some reason, you don’t find them at Fairytale Garden, make sure to check the gazebo. It’s located directly behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. (Fairytale Garden is off a walkway that leads up to Cinderella Castle. If you’re walking from the castle hub toward Mad Tea Party, Fairytale Garden will be on a small walkway to the left before you reach Cheshire Cafe.) Here are a few more photos.
