Disney Shares First Look at Big Top Bash, GoofyCore, and Get Animated for Cool Kid Summer
Ahead of its debut, Disney has shared a first look of what to expect for the Cool Kid Summer promotion at Walt Disney World. If you’re visiting between May 27th and September 1st, you’ll want to make sure to take part in some of these extras at the parks and resorts.
Over at Magic Kingdom, guests can join in the fun at the Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus. Expect a fun summertime dance party with a DJ Ringmaster, circus performers, pop-up playtime with Pluto, and tons of games. Step inside Big Top Souvenirs for even more hands-on activities. You can also check out the Galactic Blast at Tomorrowland, where guests can join the space-inspired DJ dance party. Yes, Stitch will be making surprise appearances. When it’s time to cool off, find a spot in Merchant of Venus, where indoor craft inspired by the new Disney and Pixar film Elio will be available.
At Epcot, guests can hang with Goofy on the dance floor at GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall. Expect fun games like Loopy Limbo and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks hosted by Goofy and his crew. A DJ-led dance party will be available throughout the day. Also, don’t forget that a Phineas and Ferb meet-and-greet will debut June 1st at Epcot.
Animation Courtyard has seen some updates over the last few weeks. Guests can expect to see new and relocated character meet-and-greets at this location, including Max, Chip and Dale, Clarabelle Cow (new), and Daisy Duck. Donald Duck and Goofy will also be roaming the area throughout the day. This area will also feature magicians, jump rope performers, games, and crafts. When it gets hot, step inside Get Animated (Disney Junior Play and Dance) to have fun on the dance floor with Mickey Mouse and other Disney Junior Friends.
Lastly, guests can participate in the summer fun at Disney’s Animal Kingdom by picking up a limited-time Wilderness Explorer’s badge and participating in a Celebration Sing-Along with a Dino Institute Intern on Discovery Island.
Remember that select resorts will offer scheduled character meet-and-greets at the following hotels during Cool Kid Summer: Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The schedules have been posted in the resort lobby’s as of late. Ask a cast member, if you need help finding one.
