New Menu Items Debut at Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort
New menu items are now available at Boatwright’s Dining Hall, the table service restaurant at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort. At a glance, these new additions appear to complement the restaurant’s traditional take on Southern cuisine. If you’re planning an upcoming stay or considering a dining reservation, these new items may factor into your decision. Below, we’ll outline what’s new, along with the menu description and the price at the time of publication.

We’ll start with one of three new desserts on the menu. The Bourbon Chocolate Cake is described as Milk Chocolate Mousse and Dark Chocolate Ganache ($12.00)

A couple of new upgrades or “enhancements” have been added to the menu, like the Bacon and Cheddar Loaded Mashed Potatoes ($6.00).

Here we have the Panko Crispy Chicken, which comes with a seasonal Risotto-style Farro and Greens ($27.00).

If you have a sweet tooth, you might consider this Peanut Butter Pie: Chocolate Cookie Crumbs and Chantilly Cream ($9.00)

Here is a new appetizer option on the menu: Pimento Cheese Fritters: House-made with Pepper Jelly ($16.00)

These Spiced Smoked Gouda Potatoes ($5.50) look like another tasty enhancement.

While this next menu item offers a fresh combination, we’ve seen a couple of all-you-care-to-enjoy platters at Boatwright’s before. Taste of the Bayou All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Platter: Hickory-smoked Pork Ribs, Barbecue Spice Baked Chicken, Beef Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni & Cheese, and Seasonal Vegetable with Sautéed Corn with Bacon ($38.00)

Or you might prefer to go with the house steak: Char-grilled Butcher’s Steak: Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, and House-made Red Wine Steak Sauce ($44.00)

You can pair it with another new enhancement if you like: Chimichurri Grilled Shrimp ($10.00)

I don’t know about you, but I think I might prefer this shrimp option: Citrus Shrimp Cocktail: Creole-style Rémoulade and Aji Amarillo Sauce ($17.00)

Or you could go full entree with a shrimp and pasta combination: Shrimp Pappardelle: Roasted Garlic-Chardonnay Cream Sauce, Sun-dried Tomatoes, and Spinach ($28.00)

Here are a few more items to wrap things up: Wedge Salad: Succotash, Tomato Confit, and Green Goddess Dressing $11.00 or with Bacon, Tomato Confit, and Blue Cheese Dressing $12.00

Dessert might be a tough choice among the three new options: Caramelized Vanilla Custard: Seasonal Fruit Compote (Plant-based) $11.00

Overall, it looks like Boatwright’s Dining Hall has some tasty-looking new menu items. It might be fun to visit the resort for dinner, followed by a little evening entertainment. Yehaa Bob Jackson puts on quite a performance on select evenings at the River Roost Lounge, which is next door to Boatwright’s. (You’re sure to have a couple of good belly laughs to say the least.)
