Celebrate Cool Kid Summer at Magic Kingdom with 2 New Character Dance Parties
Those visiting Magic Kingdom this summer will have two new ways to participate in Disney’s Cool Kid Summer celebration! Between May 27th and September 1st, guests can join in the fun with circus-style performers and a special character appearance by Pluto at Storybook Circus. When you’re finished, you can head over to Tomorrowland to hang out with Stitch, who’s having his own party on the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage! Here are the details for each experience.
Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus
Per Disney, guests can “step right up to summer fun under the Big Top.” This offering will include a DJ ringmaster for a summertime dance party with Pluto. You might also see some entertainers like stilt walkers and jugglers. (On a sidenote, this is the first time we’ve seen Pluto at Magic Kingdom since early 2020!)
Galactic Blast at Tomorrowland
You can also hang out around the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage to participate in a high-energy DJ dance party with Stitch! When you’ve rocked your groove, stop inside the nearby Merchant of Venus to participate in an out-of-this-world craft. The craft is inspired by Disney Pixar’s upcoming film Elio.
Disney has not shared times for the dance parties, but we anticipate that they’ll be listed in the Entertainment section of the My Disney Experience app. Here are instructions:
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Entertainment.”
- Use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through each entertainment offering.
*You can also use these same steps to locate characters. Instead of “entertainment,” select “characters.”
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.
