Celebrate Cool Kid Summer with New Activities at Disney’s Animal Kingdom This Summer
Last but not least, you’ll have a few ways to celebrate Disney’s limited-time Cool Kid Summer promotion at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Like the other parks, these activities will be available between May 27th and September 1st. They include arts and crafts, a new Wilderness Explorer badge, and a Celebration Sing-Along! Let’s take a look at what to expect.
New Activities at Rafiki’s Planet Watch
Guests can find new hands-on crafting activities that teach about pollinators (bees and butterflies) at Rafiki’s Planet Watch this summer. In their announcement, Disney tells guests to get ready to roam, explore, and earn your adventure stripes!
On a sidenote, remember that you must take the Wildlife Express Train to reach Rafiki’s Planet Watch, and the area often closes earlier than the rest of the park. You can access the train station next to Kilimanjaro Safaris in the Africa section of the park.
Earn a New Wilderness Explorer Badge
Wilderness Explorer’s this one’s for you! For a limited time, you can unlock a special, new Wilderness Explorer’s badge. Hint: You’ll want to keep an eye out for incredible animals like tigers, okapi, and more throughout the park.
A Celebration Sing-Along at Discovery Island
During your visit, you can also participate in an interactive sing-along with the Dino Institute Intern. Find the intern over at the Restaurantosaurus Lounge. (Showtimes are listed in the entertainment section of the My Disney Experience app.) This sing-along will feature original songs, playful storytelling, and chances for guests to join in on the fun.
