Princess Elena of Avalor Meet-and-Greet Moves to Town Square Theater Porch
Princess Elena of Avalor has recently relocated from Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom to the Town Square Theater Porch. Over the past couple of years, this specific area has become commonly referred to as the “princess patio.” Mulan also meets daily at this same location, and sometimes, you might even see Snow White meeting here.
When you enter Magic Kingdom, Town Square Theater is on the immediate right. Inside, you’ll find the Mickey Mouse meet-and-greet. If you walk around the right corner of the theater’s front porch, this is where you’ll find Princess Elena. Of course, you’ll want to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for her exact times. She has been meeting intermittently throughout the day between 9:00 and 4:00 p.m. as of late. On this particular visit, her line was already cut for the afternoon, so we didn’t get a chance to meet her.

We’ve seen several character meet-and-greet changes recently and expect more as Disney’s Cool Kid Summer promotion begins on May 27th. We also anticipate more changes with construction happening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Magic Kingdom.
This can make providing updates difficult. So we want to stress the importance of using the app to find availability, locations, and times on the day of your visit. Here are the instructions; you can practice at home before your trip.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.

For other character shake-ups, we’ve recently seen the Disney Junior Characters relocated to Echo Lake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Pluto has been meeting in the Oasis at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. He is also expected to return to the Magic Kingdom this summer at the Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus. Chip and Dale have also been meeting at Storybook Circus again as of late. (But those two move around a good bit!)
