Meet Princess Aurora from ‘Sleeping Beauty’ at Epcot’s France Pavilion
Princess Aurora from Disney’s animated film Sleeping Beauty is a wonderful character to meet during your Walt Disney World vacation. She meets regularly at Epcot’s France Pavilion. However, she can be challenging to find since this is her only traditional meet-and-greet location outside of character dining. Below, we’ll discuss the details of meeting Princess Aurora at Epcot. We’ll review location specifics, photos, tips, and her character’s autograph. Additionally, we’ll share where you might run into the princess for character dining.

Princess Aurora is one of the friendliest princesses. She wears her pink dress (not the blue one) at her meet-and-greet.

Aurora meets at the gazebo in the France Pavilion at Epcot. The gazebo is on the right side of the pavilion when you’re walking toward Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

On this visit, we arrived at 1:33 p.m. for her scheduled meet-and-greet at 1:50 p.m. We were closer to the front of the line, and a good number of guests got in line behind us while we waited. Aurora arrived at 1:52 p.m., and we met her at 1:58 p.m. So we waited 25 minutes to meet her, which was considerable.
Tip: If you’ve read any of our character articles, you know we emphasize the importance of checking the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit. You’ll want to check for the character’s exact timing and location. It’s also essential to get in line before the listed start time of the meet-and-greet. Cast members will cut the line off quickly when a long line forms. Here are the instructions on how to use the app.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.

Aurora posed for several photos and then took a moment to sign my autograph book. After that, we talked about all of her forest friends. A PhotoPass photographer was present at this location. However, they are not guaranteed.

She mentioned Prince Phillip and how he had slain the dragon, Maleficent. Of course, it’s always nice not to worry about pricking your finger on a spindle. Here is a look at her autograph.

Princess Aurora also meets at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. This is a character dining experience located in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot. While Aurora is not part of the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom, you can see Prince Phillip battle Maleficent in the daily parade. Here are a few photos of who you will see.
