Big Top Souvenirs at Magic Kingdom Now Closed for Refurbishment
Walt Disney World has announced that Big Top Souvenirs at Magic Kingdom has closed for a refurbishment, effective today, February 20, 2026. It is expected to reopen at some point later this year. Big Top Souvenirs is a combined gift shop and bakery that sits toward the entrance of Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom. If you’ve ever visited the adjoining Pete’s Silly Sideshow to meet classic characters, you exited into Big Top Souvenirs. Both locations are under giant circus tents that are, from our understanding, in need of repair. You may remember that the character location is also closed for refurbishment.
This location is somewhat similar to the Main Street Confectionery, offering a variety of display cases filled with traditional cookies, candy, cupcakes, and similar pastries. The main difference between the locations is that Big Top Souvenirs offers a variety of “plain” items. All of the items at Main Street Confectionery are coated with candy, which is not always suitable for those who are dealing with food dye and various other allergies. Needless to say, Big Top Souvenirs has become a go-to place for many guests looking for more traditional treats in the last couple of years.
Here is the official announcement from the Walt Disney World website:
Big Top Souvenirs will temporarily close for refurbishment on February 20, 2026, and is expected to reopen for Guests to enjoy later this year.
