Review: The Giant Mozzarella Stick at Blue Ribbon Corn Dog on Disney’s Boardwalk
If you’re looking to enjoy a giant cheesestick on your next visit to Walt Disney World, look no further than Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s Boardwalk. During a recent stay, we decided it was time to try the novelty item and see what all the hype is about.

For reference, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is…you guessed it…a corn dog stand that’s located on Disney’s Boardwalk. The location often has a line of guests waiting to try anything from their popular pickle dog (a corn dog wrapped in a pickle that’s served with peanut butter) to the ever-popular deep-fried Hawaiian Roll, which recently made a sweet return to the menu. But for this visit, we were going all in on the giant mozzarella cheesestick. Here’s a photo.

Per the menu, the giant mozzarella stick is coated in garlic and Italian-seasoned Panko bread crumbs. It’s served with marina and comes with a bag of chips. It was priced at $16.50 on our visit. The cheesestick is served on a skewer, but given the weight of the melted mozzarella, I wouldn’t go far with it. It’s not necessarily one of those things that can hold its weight.

After taking a few photos, we cut the cheese stick in half and split it. As far as taste goes, this is your basic fast-food cheesestick. It’s a lot of cheese, and I don’t think either of us was able to finish our half. On the positive side, it was served fresh and piping hot.

Overall, we decided we would prioritize trying something new on a future visit to Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. We were, however, glad we gave it a try. The fun novelty items, for us, felt somewhat like a rite of passage. As far as the price goes, it felt expensive. But this location is also sitting immediately in front of a bakery that sells cake slices for $22.00. I’m not knocking either one. We’ll soon stop in for a review of their chocolate cake.
It did seem a little odd, though, that the cheesestick costs more than the corn dogs, which range from $12.50 to $15.50 at the time of this review. But that might be due to the current cattle supply chain issues. I don’t know much about that other than we’re not buying nearly as much beef at the grocery stores these days. That said, the corn dogs are all-beef. So who knows?
My best advice is, if you’re interested in trying Blue Ribbon Corn Dog’s cheesestick, give it a go. Just make sure you have someone to share it with! For more dining in the area, you might like some of these other finds:
