Photos: Chip and Dale Roaming Tomorrowland as Space Cadets
Chip and Dale have been roaming Tomorrowland as of late in their Space Cadet outfits. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the pair in this outfit. A few years back, they were meeting pretty regularly at the Space Ranger Spin exit courtyard in the same look. These days, Stitch meets at that location, while Chip and Dale roam the surrounding area. That means they don’t stay in one place for too long, so you’ll have to find them.
Of course, when it comes to Chip and Dale, you always have to keep your eyes out for them. You never know what is going on with these two. They both have a tad bit of prankster in them that adds a spark of personality to their adorable nature. Let’s take a look at those outfits!

Here we have Dale who can be identified by the gap (a dale) in his teeth and brown-red nose. Chip was present this day too but for the most part he was visiting with other guests while I took photos of Dale. For me, the easiest way to tell them apart is by Chip’s black nose, which is reminiscent of a chocolate chip.

On this afternoon, I found Chip and Dale wandering the area between the Carousel of Progress and the Peoplemover. They walked around that area for some time, stopping to greet guests and posing for pictures as time allowed. As with all roaming characters, there are no guarantees. My best advice is to be patient and ask politely for a photo. If circumstances are agreeable, they love to take the time to stop. That said, you might run into them when they are leaving to take a break. Given their popularity, it can be difficult for them to step away.
Additionally, the cast members that are with them also like to keep them moving so as not to let a crowd form around them. If a crowd forms, they will most certainly disappear. Roaming characters are meant to surprise and delight guests. It’s a treat to have a more relaxed encounter here and there that doesn’t require a long line.

This meet-and-greet is usually listed in the My Disney Experience app. We always recommend checking the app on the day of your visit for a character’s exact location and time. Here are the instructions:
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.
