Christmas at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (Photos and Video of the Holiday Decor)

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to preview the holiday decorations. This gorgeous resort has grown on me through the years, especially during Christmas.

So, I returned to Caribbean Beach over the weekend to take photos and videos. We don’t usually do a separate holiday post for the moderate resorts. But after all the recent coverage of the resort, I thought you might like to know how it compares during Christmas. You won’t be disappointed.

I took the Skyliner from Epcot’s International Gateway to Disney’s Riviera Resort during this visit. I had a late lunch at Primo Piatto, one of my favorite go-tos, for a quick meal. After lunch, I walked around Barefoot Bay to Old Port Royale at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. That was where I saw the first nod to Christmas. Strands of garland were draped along the trim of Centertown Market’s outdoor dining patio.

I continued to the lobby entrance and ran into several potted plants near the pineapple fountain. If you’ve ever stayed at Caribbean Beach, you’ve probably passed the fountain many times.

Inside the lobby, the tropical island decor comes to life. Christmas wreaths are decorated with tropical flowers and vibrant ribbons.

The part I love most about Caribbean Beach is the Old Port Royale lobby. When you step inside, you feel like you’ve walked into an island resort in the Caribbean. The lobby is gorgeous and massive! It is one of the best hotel lobbies at Walt Disney World, and I don’t say that lightly.

Paddle fans turn slowly above. Soft yellow curtains hang from the ceiling to the floor. We’ve visited so many times, but I always think, ” Wow, when I step inside.

The lobby is broken down into several living spaces, like the one below. The areas near the windows both had a Christmas tree.

Continuing across the lobby, we see a few more trees. Each sconce had swags of decorated garland secured to it.

Even Centertown Market was in the holiday spirit, with several miniature Christmas trees topped with pineapples.

Outside the main entrance, we see the walkway to the porte-cochère draped with garland every few feet.

Overall, the Christmas decorations at Disney’s Caribbean Beach are worth visiting. You might enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants at Caribbean Beach or the nearby Riviera. Or you could enjoy an afternoon or evening Skyliner resort hop to check things out.
