Christmas at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter
Both of Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts are uniquely decorated for the Christmas holidays. French Quarter offers a Mardi-Gras-inspired look with vibrant purples, golds, and greens, while Riverside has traditional decorations that are more elegant than extravagant.
Below, we’ll preview a few photos of the resorts’ holiday decorations. While I don’t necessarily think these resorts are worth visiting for the sole purpose of seeing the Christmas decor, you might make a multi-purpose trip. For instance, you could visit the French Quarter for beignets, see the Christmas decorations, and then walk along the river to see the holiday decor at Riverside.

Christmas at Port Orleans Riverside
At Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, a giant tree sits in the center of the resort’s lobby. It’s a traditional tree with white lights and a mix of decorations.

Magnolias rest in the branches.

Hydrangeas are placed delicately throughout the tree.

The resort’s check-in area has strands of garland between the decorative columns throughout the lobby.

Here are a few other photos.

Christmas at Port Orleans French Quarter
At Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter, you’re greeted by gorgeous wreaths hanging from the light poles as you approach the resort’s back entrance.

Inside, each corner of the lobby has a beautifully decorated tree.

Here are a few photos of the decorations in the French Quarter.

If you’re a Disney Resort Hotel guests would like to visit Port Orleans Resorts over the holidays, you’ll have a few options. Perhaps one of the most pleasant ways is to visit Disney Springs and take a boat from the Marketplace Boat Dock to either of the Port Orleans Resorts. You can also take a boat or the internal bus between the resorts and Disney Springs. (These options will not work for non-hotel guests.)
You can also take a bus from any theme park to either resort. We hope you enjoyed these holiday photos of Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts and wish a Merry Christmas to you and yours!
If you’re staying at either resort, you might like to learn about how transportation works. Consult the following guides for more details.
