Edna Mode Character Sighting Now Available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
As more characters return to the parks, guests can see Edna Mode as a character sighting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She meets daily on the small, fenced lawn on the left at the end of Hollywood Boulevard, across the walkway from where Donald and Daisy Duck greet guests throughout the day.
Update: This character sighting debuted in February 2023 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It ended a few months later when Edna Mode returned to her traditional meet-and-greet location at The Edna Mode Experience.
Edna Mode meets at this location intermittently throughout the day, typically between 9:00 and 4:00 p.m. Unfortunately, their times have yet to be listed in the My Disney Experience app. We hope they will eventually be added. Here are the instructions for checking the app on the day of your visit.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.

Since this is a socially distanced character interaction, Edna does not sign autographs and remains a few feet away from guests. Here’s a photo of her location near the Camera Man Statue. When she’s not greeting guests at this location, you might also run into Frozone’s character sighting. They rotate this lawn and another one nearby. If they’re out greeting guests and you’re in the nearby vicinity, you will be able to see them.
Edna Mode’s golden character statue is on the lawn directly behind where she’s meeting. If you have a MagicBand+, stop by and give it a little wave.
