The Evil Queen and Maleficent Takeover Princess Fairytale Hall During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
The Evil Queen and Maleficent return to Princess Fairytale Hall for this year’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. As you likely know, Princess Fairytale Hall is the location to meet princesses during regular park hours at Magic Kingdom. However, when the clock strikes 7:00 p.m. on party nights, the princesses disappear, and villains begin to roam. Not only is this a rare and convenient way to say hello to a couple of the worst villains, but you also get to stock your trick-or-treat bag with candy!
Update: This character meet-and-greet was available at the 2025 party. We’ll update it if and when we know of their return in 2026.

Princess Fairytale Hall, or perhaps Scary-tale Hall during the Halloween Party, is located directly behind Cinderella Castle in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. This location is open throughout the duration of the party and has two entrances. Our best advice is to pick either side and then walk through to collect your candy. You’ll see whichever villain is on that side. When you’re finished, you can walk through the opposite line if you prefer to greet both villains. (You’ll be able to see them both from either line, but it’s a minimal investment to walk through each side.)

We’ve attended two parties to date this year and have found this to be one of the best opportunities (and most effortless) to see villains. You might not have the same luck with meeting Gaston near Be Our Guest or Lady Tremaine and the Evil Stepsisters. They are among the worst meet-and-greets at the party. Here is Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, as she looks down on trick-or-treaters.

The Evil Queen from Snow White is on the opposite side. She looks absolutely thrilled to be there.

As far as other characters on the trick-or-treat trails, we have found Romeo McGrowl in the Country Bear Musical Jamboree and Donald Duck in his pumpkin suit in Mickey’s PhilharMagic.
