Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Named Official Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has been named an official Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel. For reference, Gateway Hotels are not owned or operated by Disney. The Gateway designation signals that the resort hotel can be booked via the Walt Disney World website. Guests can also combine their hotel stay with a Disney vacation package that includes theme park admission.
When considering a Gateway hotel, it’s important to note that it will likely offer some of the perks of a Disney Resort Hotel, but not all. In this instance, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress offers theme park shuttle service to the Walt Disney World Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, guests can take continuing transportation to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Additionally, the resort offers shuttle service to and from Disney Springs, which is right around the corner from the hotel.
We’ve stayed at this resort and have a review of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. For us, the major highlight of the resort is the number of recreational activities and the incredible 800,000-gallon lagoon-style pool, which features 12 waterfalls, a splash pad, and a waterslide. We have a separate post with photos of the pools at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress if you would like to see more. The resort also offers two whirlpool spas, access to Lake Windsong, where you’ll find numerous water sports, a nearby golf course, pickleball courts, jogging, bicycle trails, and rock-climbing areas, among other things.

Another positive is the resort’s dining options, including Four Flamingos, a Richard Blais Florida Kitchen, which has received a Michelin mention for the past four years to date. Other resort dining options include a table service restaurant, a sushi restaurant, poolside dining, a lobby bar, and a market.
As far as accommodations, the resort offers an upscale feel. Rooms are equipped with 65-inch flat screen televisions, blackout curtains, a coffee-maker, branded bath amenities, a Juliet balcony, and more. Laundry facilities are available near the resort’s fitness center.

Overall, we love this resort and are happy to see it receive the Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel designation. We enjoy it so much that we include it in our rankings of the best off-site hotels near Disney World.
