Meet Chip ‘n’ Dale at Walt Disney World (Every Location with Photos)

Chip and Dale are the cutest chipmunks! They have multiple character meet-and-greets at Disney World. These friendly chipmunks meet guests daily at several locations around the theme parks and resorts. Below, we’ll discuss where to meet Chip and Dale during your Walt Disney World vacation and preview photos of their various outfits.

If you’re wondering how to tell the two apart, I have a simple way to remember. Chip has a dark black nose like a chocolate chip. Meanwhile, Dale has a red nose, and his teeth have a bit of a separation between them. Someone recently told me the word dale meant an open space. So Dale was named after the gap between his teeth.

Meet-and-Greet Locations

• Magic Kingdom (Roaming Around Tomorrowland)
• Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Near the Brown Derby in Regular Outfits)
• Disney’s Animal Kingdom (Dinosaur Costumes)*

*This meet-and-greet location will permanently close on February 2, 2026, with the rest of Dinoland, U.S.A.

Character Dining

• Epcot (Garden Grill Character Dining)

Magic Kingdom

Chip and Dale meet guests daily at Magic Kingdom. However, they move a good bit. Their former meet-and-greet was toward the back of Storybook Circus near Pete’s Silly Side Show and the Fantasyland Train Station. The pair then moved to Tomorrowland next to the exit of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. For some time, Chip and Dale were dressed in space cadet outfits at this location.

As of early 2026, they are back wearing these space cadet outfits. However, they are often listed in the app as roaming characters. We’ve seen them in multiple locations within Tomorrowland.

Here is a photo of where they formerly met on the River Walk in front of the Rivers of America. This area is now pretty much demolished.

Chip and Dale signed autographs. However, a PhotoPass photographer isn’t always present at their meet-and-greet. Here is a look at their autographs.

Elsewhere at Magic Kingdom, you might find Chip and Dale as walking characters in the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom. They are usually toward the end of the parade. They formerly met at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen them meet in the past few years. However, they are usually part of the Boo To You Parade.

Hollywood Studios

Chip and Dale meet guests throughout the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They have been meeting near the Brown Derby. (They have moved multiple times, which is not ideal for anyone planning. Hopefully, they will get settled somewhere more permanent.)

A few years back, they met for a limited time in their Rescue Rangers outfits near the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. (This was considered limited-time magic.)

Animal Kingdom

Lastly, Chip and Dale meet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in their Dino-Bash outfits. This character meeting is called Chipmunk-o-Saurus. It is in the Dinoland U.S.A. area of the park. The pair meets intermittently throughout the morning and afternoon. Their exact times are listed in the My Disney Experience app.

Update: As of this update, the pair are still meeting in dinosaur costumes. However, this location will soon close as construction of the Tropical Americas progresses. We doubt we’ll see the dinosaur costumes for much longer.

Epcot

While Chip and Dale do not have a formal character meet-and-greet at Epcot, they appear at the Garden Grill Restaurant, a character dining restaurant that requires a reservation. Chip and Dale meet at the restaurant alongside Farmer Mickey and Pluto. Garden Grill is located in The Land Pavilion at Epcot. Fort Wilderness

You can also see the pair at Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long at Fort Wilderness. This free event happens every evening and is open to anyone who wants to attend. You’ll see Chip and Dale participate in the sing-along and roast marshmallows. We have an entire article and a video detailing the experience.
