Meet Santa at the "It's a Wonderful Shop" at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Santa Claus returns to the It’s a Wonderful Shop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where he met last year. Below, we’ll review the details of the Santa meet-and-greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is an excellent place to have a family photo taken with Santa. Santa will meet at this location from November 12th through December 24th (2024). Our experience from last year is detailed below.

Santa meets in the It’s a Wonderful Shop near the back of Muppets Courtyard at Hollywood Studios. The shop sits directly between Pizzerizzo and Mama Melrose. Formerly, the shop sold Christmas decorations and ornaments year-round.

You’ll provide a cast member with your first name and mobile number outside the entrance. Someone will text you when it’s time to return to the queue. We were told it would likely be an hour’s wait on the day of this visit. But we received the text approximately 30 minutes later.

Santa meets daily between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. His meet-and-greet will conclude on Christmas Eve. However, last year, Santa Duffy met in his place from Christmas Day through December 30th. While there are no guarantees, you might check to see if someone is available if you visit the week between Christmas and New Year’s.

It’s such a fun location.

After returning to the meet-and-greet, it was approximately 15 minutes before our turn to meet Santa. We waited in an outdoor queue until it was our turn. Only one group of guests at a time is allowed inside.

As you can probably tell from the photos, this is an excellent location to meet Santa and take a photo with him. The virtual queue is also a nice feature because it keeps guests from waiting long. For more details, see our guide to Christmas Events at Disney World.
