Miguel and Dante Character Topiary Debuts at Epcot (Photos and Location)
A character topiary featuring Miguel and Dante from Disney Pixar’s animated film Coco debuted at this year’s Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. It is not only the first time we’ve seen a topiary representing Coco, but it’s the first ever topiary to offer an enhanced special projection effect. At night, Dante lights up by way of projection mapping.
Regarding the actual topiary, Miguel is wearing his mariachi attire while playing his great-great-grandfather’s guitar. Dante is in his other world form with a bridge of marigolds beneath him. Below, we’ve provided a few angles of the topiary and a photo of Dante after dark! You can find this topiary on the left just before you reach the Mexico Pavilion when coming from the World Showcase Plaza.
This is one of three new topiaries that debuted at this year’s Flower and Garden Festival. We also recently previewed the young Groot Topiary that debuted in World Celebration, and the Epcot entrance topiary featuring Asha, Valentino, and Star from Disney’s animated film Wish.
Unfortunately, Miguel doesn’t have a meet-and-greet in the parks. You may remember he made appearances for a short time with Mariachi Cobre at Epcot during Latin and Hispanic Heritage Month.
