Meet Mulan on the Town Square Patio at Magic Kingdom
As of late, Mulan has been meeting regularly at Magic Kingdom on the Town Square Patio. Initially, this meet-and-greet was added to celebrate Asian Heritage Month (May). However, this location continues to be listed daily in the My Disney Experience app. So, as we wrap up our recent round of character updates, I wanted to make sure you were aware to look for her here.
Nicknamed the “princess patio,” this is the same location where Snow White meets at Magic Kingdom. However, Snow White still typically meets here around lunchtime. Her times are also listed in the My Disney Experience app for this location. It’s important to note that once a character’s meet-and-greet times have passed for the day, they disappear from the app. They will not reappear until the next morning. So, it can be challenging to plan, and it’s essential to check for exact times and locations on the day of your visit.

We’ve seen Mulan meeting on the Town Square Theater side porch in the mornings and afternoons. If you enter Magic Kingdom on the right side of the train station, you’ll see this location on the immediate right as soon as you pass through the tunnel. Below is an example of the garden. You can see Mulan on the patio in the distance.

It’s a pretty area that’s mostly shaded.

Below is a photo of a few guests waiting to meet Mulan. Beyond that, you can see the entrance/exit of Curtain Call Collectibles. Those double doors also serve as the exit of Mickey Mouse’s Town Square Theater meet-and-greet.

Mulan was happy to pose for a few photos. She signs autographs at this location, and a PhotoPass photographer was also available on the day of our visit.

Below is the step-by-step process I use to locate characters with the app.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom with hopes of meeting Mulan, check this location and the app on the day of your visit. You can also find Mulan in the China Pavilion at Epcot, her long-term location. We’ve also seen Merida and Cinderella on the princess porch occasionally. So it’s always fun to look over in passing to see if any surprise characters are meeting. See our Magic Kingdom Meet-and-Greet Guide for more characters who meet in this park. Check back with Resorts Gal soon for more of our coverage!
