New Disney Visa Inspire Card is Worth Considering & Comparing for Regular Park Visitors
Chase and Disney have launched a new Disney Visa Inspire Card that might be worth your consideration or comparison if you’re already a cardholder. The Inspire is the newest of the now three Disney Visa Cards and is considered the top tier. It comes with a $149.00 annual fee, so you’ll want to weigh that fee heavily when you consider this offer. We have the Disney Premier Visa Card, which is now the second-tier card and has a $49.00 annual fee. I use it for a few perks like the special character meet-and-greet at Epcot and other discounts.
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t take advantage of as many benefits as I could with the Premier card. I’ve had it for so long that I don’t even remember why I signed up for it in the first place. It’s pretty common knowledge that it’s not a “stellar” card with benefits that you look forward to redeeming. Just a few months ago, I finally accrued enough rewards to purchase our annual Disney Christmas puzzle at Disney Springs, which was about $29.00, and I was also able to use the cardholder discount at the time of purchase for a small discount.
That said, the new Inspire card might be worth the upgrade if you’re like me and don’t get much use out of the lower tier. Again, the annual membership fee is significantly more. So I thought we would take a look at some of the Inspire card’s exclusive benefits.

All of these perks below are subject to the fine print, which you can view here on the Disney Visa Card website.
The New Cardmember Offer
Okay, this first offer is only available to those who do not have any of the current cards and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any of the three cards in the past 24 months.
- Those eligible can earn up to $600.00. That is broken down into an immediate $300.00 Disney e-gift card to use immediately upon approval. Then, you’ll receive a $300.00 statement credit after you’ve spent $1000.00 on purchases in the first 3 months from your account opening.
Earn and Redeem Disney Rewards Dollars
Cardmembers can redeem reward dollars toward Disney theme park tickets, resort stays, Disney Cruise Line, shopping, dining, movies, and more within the United States. There are no blackout dates when redeeming Reward Dollars, and no limits to the number of Reward Dollars you can earn.
- Earn 10% off on card purchases at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, or Plus.ESPN.com (Comparison: Disney Premier Visa Card is 5%)
- Earn 3% on card purchases at gas stations and most U.S. Disney Locations (Comparison: Disney Premier Visa Card is 2%)

Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m glad that Disney has stepped into the ring of competitive credit card offers. Anyone who visits regularly and makes a habit of taking advantage of perks might want to consider this card offer. Again, you’ll want to consider how much you’ll use these benefits and read the fine print. For example, I looked to see if our annual passes would be covered for the theme park ticket credit, and they are. However, the fine print noted that tickets that are part of a Disney World vacation package are not included. In that instance, you would likely still qualify for the $200 rewards, but not the ticket portion.
Of course, this is by no means an encouragement to accrue debt. This was only written to make you aware that this offer was available. You might also like our overview of all the Disney Visa Card Perks available at Walt Disney World.
