New Locations Revealed for Soarin’ Across America + Other Pre-Opening Updates
Walt Disney World has revealed some of the new locations that guests will be flying over when Soarin’ Across America debuts at Epcot later this month. This all-new journey will showcase the beauty and wonder of the United States. Soarin’ Across America officially opens on May 26, 2026. Here is a look at the new scene locations, starting with Mount Rushmore.

Next, we have a preview of a New England scene that depicts a lighthouse sitting on the coastline.

The final reveal is a scene featuring Hawaii with what looks to be Diamond Head and the city of Honolulu.

Disney notes the following in today’s announcement:
Along your journey, you will glide above iconic urban and natural wonders, from the rugged New England coastline and the radiant welcome of New York Harbor to the vast expanse of Grand Canyon West. The experience features so many quintessentially American settings… the autumn colors of the heartland; the beauty of our bayous; the great plains of the west; the northern wilderness; and sunlit island shores.
“Each scene helps to create a portrait of what we believe makes America so special,” said Tom Fitzgerald, creative director and chief storytelling executive, Walt Disney Imagineering. “It’s a tapestry of urban wonders, natural beauty, and iconic locations that celebrate the spirit of the nation and the 250th anniversary of the United States.”

Lastly, Disney announced that Bruce Broughton has created a new musical arrangement of the original Jerry Goldsmith Soarin’ theme. The new arrangement will complement the ride programming, wind, and other aspects to make for a truly immersive experience.
Soarin’ is one of the many things that’s opening as part of Cool Kid Summer at Walt Disney World. If you’re an annual passholder, remember that passholder previews will be available for the new ride scene. Eligible DVC Members can also participate in the previews.
