Meet Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

If you’re looking for a warm hug during your Walt Disney World vacation, you’re in luck! Olaf from Disney’s Frozen films meets daily at Celebrity Spotlight at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This character meet-and-greet is a must-do for fans and typically requires little effort. Below, we’ll discuss the specifics for Olaf’s character meet location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ll look at where to find Olaf, what kind of wait to expect, and the best times to meet him.

Celebrity Spotlight sits near the exit of the Hyperion Theater, where the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is held. It’s also near Vacation Fun, an attraction that shows Mickey Mouse shorts.

A sign sits in front of the entrance. Olaf meets guests daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Of course, you’ll want to check the My Disney Experience app for exact times on the day of your visit. He does not meet for early theme park entry or during extended evening hours for select resort guests.

On the day of this visit, the wait time to meet Olaf was 15 minutes. I got in line at 4:52 p.m. with approximately 12 groups ahead of me.

The majority of the queue is outside in a partially shaded area. I ended up waiting less than 10 minutes to meet Olaf. Below, we see a photo of Olaf waving goodbye to the guests ahead of me. Once you enter the building, it won’t be long before you meet Olaf. Approximately three groups of people are waiting inside to meet Olaf. So you won’t run into another long line once you get inside.

A PhotoPass photographer is usually available at this character meet. They will take your picture and scan your MagicBand if you purchased the Memory Maker. If you didn’t purchase the Memory Maker, you can ask if they will take your photo with your personal device. Here’s everyone’s favorite snowman! Naturally, Olaf’s enjoying the summer. After all, he’s the snowman of the year and Arendelle’s coolest resident (per Disney).

Since Olaf has twig arms, he cannot sign autographs. However, he does have a laminated card with his signature on it. The cast member attending the meeting will provide an autograph card before it’s your turn to meet Olaf.

You’ll exit either in front of the building or toward the back. If you exit toward the back of the building, you’ll see a shortcut that comes out directly at Red Carpet Dreams, where Mickey and Minnie Mouse meet.

We have found that Olaf’s character meet-and-greet usually has shorter waits later in the afternoon or early in the morning. However, mornings might be better suited for experiencing some of the more popular rides and attractions.

You might try to meet Olaf immediately after experiencing the Frozen Sing-Along. Since he’s nearby, you can exit the sing-along and join the line to meet Olaf. If you hope to meet other Frozen characters during your trip, you can meet Anna and Elsa at the Royal Sommerhus at Epcot.
