Rafiki’s Planet Watch Area and Attractions to Close Later This Month
According to the Walt Disney World website, the Rafiki’s Planet Watch area and attractions will temporarily close on February 23, 2026, to make way for a new Bluey adventure that will debut this summer. The following areas will be part of this closure:
- Wildlife Express Train
- Conservation Station
- Affection Station
- Animation Experience*
Per the Walt Disney World website, the announcement notes a temporary closure for the above-listed items, with one exception. *For the Animation Experience, the website leaves out the words “temporarily” in the closure notice, leading us to believe that the Animation Experience will permanently close. You may remember that a new animation experience is expected to open as part of the Walt Disney Studios Lot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios later this summer. The Animation Experience at Conservation Station will close on February 23, 2026, to make way for a new Bluey adventure coming Summer 2026.

As of publish time, Disney’s website does not list an anticipated re-opening date or indicate exactly how long this area of the park will be closed.
As far as Bluey and Bingo are concerned, guests can expect to enjoy a fun excursion to Conservation Station at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the summer of 2026. There, they can play and dance with both Bluey and Bingo. This area is expected to offer favorite games from Bluey episodes. Guests will also be able to step outside and discover an experience with animals native to Australia, Bluey’s home country. We’ll have more on this new experience when details are announced.
