Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT is Closing Soon for New Ride Scene Installation
Walt Disney World has announced that Soarin’ Around the World, a popular Epcot attraction, will be closing soon. The “Around the World” version of the ride is expected to be available now through May 13, 2026. It will then close as Disney prepares to debut a new version called Soarin’ Across America. Originally announced last October, the new ride scene, Soarin’ Across America, was created in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States. It is part of a special offering called “Disney Celebrates America.” When the new version of the ride debuts on May 26th, it will take guests on a voyage that highlights scenes featuring the natural beauty of the United States of America. In a release earlier this week, Disney shared an image of the Grand Canyon, which will be featured on the ride. Guests can also expect iconic cityscapes, accompanied by a new orchestration of the attraction’s musical theme.
Soarin’ is one of the most popular attractions at Epcot. The ride is located at the base of Epcot’s Land Pavilion in the World Nature section of the park. The attraction has a 40″ height requirement. Disney has created a separate attraction page with more details:

Final Thoughts
As you likely know, this will be the third scene for Soarin’ to date. The original scene, Soarin’ Over California, was replaced by Soarin’ Around the World about a decade ago. Now and then, Disney will run Soarin’ Over California for a brief period of time. So it is likely that Soarin’ Around the World will return at some point in the future.
