New Spring Menu Items Now Available at Disney’s Hollywood Brown Derby
A few new menu items recently debuted at the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’ve been following along, you know we recently updated our rankings for the best signature dining options at Disney World. Those rankings list the Hollywood Brown Derby as our second-favorite fine dining location at Disney World. I can’t say exactly, but I would be willing to bet that over the years we’ve eaten at the Brown Derby more than any other location when considering signature restaurants. It’s just good. And while there are a few menu items we love (they better not ever remove the escargot), we also enjoy that some of the items do change seasonally, offering fresh options for repeat guests like us.
With those thoughts in mind, I thought we’d take a look at what’s new on the menu. All of these items debuted a few weeks back and will likely be available until the summer menu debuts. We’ll start with the Hamachi à la Newburg, which is priced at $17.00 and described as Citrus-cured Hamachi, Creamy Newburg Sauce, Fruit Tartare.

Next, we have the Stuffed Butternut Squash, which is a plant-based entree currently priced at $34.00. Per the menu: Potato-Chickpea-Vegetable Filling, Roasted Spring Vegetable, Mushroom-Lemongrass “Cream” Sauce.

Back to the appetizer menu, we have a Beet and Kale Salad for $13.00, described as Spinach, Warm Bacon Vinaigrette, Goat Cheese Cream, Beet Purée, and Candied Walnut. (Pro-tip: I always, always enjoy trying seasonal salads and soups at signature restaurants. With such fresh ingredients in season, they are almost always a sure bet.)

Another entree is the Filet Mignon for $56.00. This particular version features Rhubarb-Red Wine Demi-glace, Yukon Gold Potato, and Braised Endive.

I don’t know if I’ve ever looked at a dish of carrots and found them as appealing as the ones pictured below. The Glazed Carrots are an enhancement offered at $10.00.

Lastly, we have a dish called Seafood Fregola, which is listed on the entree section at $51.00. Per the menu, this dish is comprised of Steamed Clam and Mussel, Poached Scallop, Fregola Pasta, Spring Greens, and Crab-Saffron Cream.
