Where to Meet Star-Lord at Epcot
Peter Quill, more commonly known as Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy fame, is always a fun character to run into when you visit Epcot. We recently met up with Star-Lord roaming World Discovery. So I thought I would put together something so you would know where to find him. Be aware that he’s often wearing a pair of headphones connected to a Walkman that’s clipped to his belt. So he could be deep in his tunes, and you might have to wave a bit to catch his attention. Of course, if you’re a Guardians fan, this should come as no surprise. He’s probably listening to some Awesome Mix tape….Ooga Chaka.

On this particular afternoon, we ran into Star-Lord in front of the Jump Ship. For reference, the Jump Ship sits directly in front of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Since he is a roaming character, you likely won’t find much of a line. However, it is common for a crowd to form around him when he stands in one place long enough.

I just happened to run into him as he was escaping the crowd. When I asked for a photo, he suggested we go for a little walk first. The next thing I knew, we had walked all the way from Cosmic Rewind to Mission Space. He thought it was a fun place to take a photo in front of the planets, and I agreed.

Since Star-Lord is a face character, he’s usually good for a little conversation. He loves to talk about his friends and fellow Guardians (Gamora, Rocket, Drax, and Groot). You might also discuss his extensive playlist of mostly music from the 70s, and the guy loves Epcot, which is always a fun topic.

Star-Lord is listed in the My Disney Experience app as a roaming character. You’ll want to check the app on the day of your visit for his exact times. Here are the instructions for how to do that:
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.

Be aware that since Star-Lord is a roaming character, there are no PhotoPass photographers. He might sign his autograph if he has the time, but it is not guaranteed. You’ll want to have your personal device ready for a photo or a selfie in the event he has time to stop.
