Character Spotlight: The Genie from ‘Aladdin’ at Disney World

The Genie from Aladdin is a classic character that guests love to meet. However, it can be difficult to find him. After being trapped in a lamp for over 10,000 years in the Cave of Wonder, Aladdin finally freed him. Below, we’ve answered a few frequently asked questions about finding the Genie at Walt Disney World and photos of places where we’ve met him over the years. Movies to Watch Before Your Disney World Vacation:

Does Genie have a regular meet-and-greet at Walt Disney World? Unfortunately, he does not have a regular meet-and-greet at Disney World.

Does the Genie make regular appearances in any of the parks? We often see the Genie in the Adventure Friends Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom. However, he is not guaranteed. The schedule for the cavalcade is listed in the Entertainment section of the My Disney Experience app.

Places We’ve Seen Genie at Disney World: He usually meets with Jasmine at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Both of these events are extra-ticketed, requiring an additional expense to visit the parks. However, the parties offer a chance to meet exceptionally rare characters.

We also met Genie at a limited-time annual passholder lounge in the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot in 2024. This special opportunity, held in the former Restaurant Marakesh, was only offered to annual passholders.
