Character Spotlight: Woody from ‘Toy Story’ at Disney World
Woody is the leading role in Disney Pixar’s computer-animated film Toy Story. He is a cowboy sheriff pull-string doll known as Andy’s favorite toy. All of the toys in Andy’s room regard him as the leader of the bunch. Actor Tom Hanks voices his character, and he is widely known as Sheriff Woody. Due to his exceptional popularity, you can meet Woody at Walt Disney World. He has a traditional character meet-and-greet and makes several appearances. Below, we’ll discuss where you might see him and preview a few photos we’ve taken, including how his appearance has subtly changed over time.

Does Woody have a regular meet-and-greet at Walt Disney World? Yes, Woody meets daily alongside Jessie in Toy Story Land. You’ll want to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for his exact times and locations. Here are the instructions on how to find characters.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.

Does Woody make regular appearances in any of the parks? Woody is one of the walking characters in the Adventure Friends Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom. He also rides in the Toy Story float in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
