Meet Jiminy Cricket at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Near Runaway Railway

Jiminy Cricket meets guests daily at a location listed as Hollywood Boulevard near Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He rotates this location intermittently throughout the day with Pinocchio. This is the first traditional meet-and-greet for Jiminy Cricket that we’ve seen outside of special events in quite some time. Below, we’ll discuss how to find him along with other specifics.

Jiminy Cricket meets toward the front of the park near Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. On the day of our visit, he was meeting on the left side of the hedge. It’s important to note that Mary Poppins and Bert rotate a meet-and-greet on the opposite side of the hedge. So you’ll want to ensure you’re getting in line for the character you desire to meet.

You might also see Pinocchio meeting guests at this location when you arrive. In our case, I met Pinocchio and then got back in the same line to wait for Jiminy Cricket. Since the line was fairly short this afternoon, Pinocchio was still meeting with guests by the time I got back to the front of the line. So I allowed other guests to go ahead of me. Some waited, because they too wanted to meet Jiminy Cricket. If you’re unsure what to do, just let the cast member attending the line know, and they will provide instruction.

Jiminy Cricket signs autographs at this location. Unfortunately, a PhotoPass photographer was not available, but the cast member attending the meet-and-greet did offer to help take photos for guests with their personal devices. As always, if you want to meet Jiminy Cricket at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll need to check the My Disney Experience app for exact times and location on the day of your visit. Here are our instructions for how to do so:

How to Locate Jiminy Cricket in the My Disney Experience App

• Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
• Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
• After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
• Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
• Scroll through the list of characters until you find Jiminy Cricket.
• Select his meet-and-greet, and you’ll see his location and times for the day.*
• As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.

*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit. Our screenshot tutorial below offers more details.
