How to Meet Pluto on Grand Ave at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Pluto meets guests daily at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at a location listed as Grand Ave North in the My Disney Experience app. You may remember that Pluto formerly met guests at Animation Courtyard, which has since permanently closed to be reimagined into the Walt Disney Studios Lot. He was part of the Disney Junior character lineup. Sadly, those meet-and-greets have ended, but thankfully, Pluto remains. Below, we’ll discuss where to meet him and provide a few tips for his meet-and-greet.

Grand Ave North is pretty simple to find. The location is immediately between a Disney Vacation Club Kiosk and Ice Cold Hydraulics. It’s across the walkway from Baseline Tap House. If you’re anywhere in the area, you’ll be able to see Pluto when he’s out meeting with guests. Look closely at the picture below and you’ll see him.

Pluto meets at this location intermittently throughout the day. On the day of our visit, we got in line at 1:14 p.m. to meet him with about 20 guests ahead of us. His next meet and greet was scheduled for 1:20 p.m. and he was still meeting with guests from the previous session. He went inside at approximately 1:17 pm and returned at 1:20 pm. It was 1:28 when we met him, so we had a wait of about 14 minutes.

Pluto signs autographs at this location, and a PhotoPass photographer was available during our meet and greet. As always, if you want to meet Pluto at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll need to check the My Disney Experience app for exact times and location on the day of your visit. Here are our instructions for how to do so:

How to Locate Pluto in the My Disney Experience App

• Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
• Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
• After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
• Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
• Scroll through the list of characters until you find Pluto.
• Select his meet-and-greet, and you’ll see his location and times for the day.*
• As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.

*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit. Our screenshot tutorial below offers more details.
