Frozen Holiday Surprise

A Frozen Holiday Surprise is a special castle stage show that’s offered during the holiday season at Magic Kingdom Park. Guests can expect to see appearances from Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf as they transform Cinderella Castle after sunset.

Disney has announced that in 2025, Olaf and over 100 of his snowgie siblings will add garlands, ornaments, wreaths, and more to Cinderella Castle during the special ceremony. But the real magical moment is when Elsa transforms the castle into a frosted crystal palace. It is one of our favorite parts of the holiday season at Walt Disney World, and something you don’t want to miss.

Each performance lasts approximately 7 minutes. The performance is offered at 6:15 p.m. each evening in 2025. The stage show is offered once per night throughout the holiday season, and then a second time on evenings of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The second performance is exclusive to guests attending the Christmas Party.

We have found that you can almost always walk up about 10 minutes beforehand for a decent spot in front of the castle. Just remember, you will be at eye level from the center of the hub. If you get too close, it becomes difficult to get the full effect. That said, you can see the characters better from a closer viewpoint.

How Disney Describes it:

Join our Frozen friends from Arendelle as they ring in the season. The celebration begins when Olaf and over 100 of his snowgie siblings add garlands, ornaments, wreaths and more to Cinderella Castle.

Next, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff will appear on stage with Olaf—all decked out in their holiday best. The festivities culminate as Elsa adds the finishing touches with her ice magic, transforming Cinderella Castle into a shimmering crystallized palace.

An incredible show with little to no wait? Make sure to put this performance on your holiday to-do list for Magic Kingdom. You might also check out the Jingle Cruise while you’re there! At Epcot, we wouldn’t miss taking a couple of rides on Living with the Land’s Glimmering Greenhouses, especially after dark. Hollywood Studios offers a fun projection show in the evenings called Sunset Seasons Greetings. Then, seeing the Merry Menagerie is a must at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You might also take a moment to meet Mickey and Minnie in their holiday outfits at Adventurer’s Outpost. And don’t miss the Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition at nightfall.
