Photos: The Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays (2025)

The Tomorrowland Speedway’s special holiday overlay returns to Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2025. We took a ride through the attraction just as the sun was setting to check out the holiday decorations. This attraction is one of five that offer a holiday twist during the Christmas Party. The others are Space Mountain Holiday Run, Mad Tea Party, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, and Jingle Cruise.

Disney describes Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays as an attraction where guests can cruise to a merry soundtrack on a festive freeway filled with lights and decor. If you’re a fan of the ride, you’ll love its holiday look! Here are a few photos from our spin around the track.

We rode on the evening of the first Christmas Party, right before 6:00 p.m. We were visiting the park as day guests and were on our way to the PeopleMover for one last ride before the park’s official closing time. As we were walking by, the lights suddenly turned on, and it was time for a change of plans. We hopped in line at about 5:45 p.m. A few minutes later, we were off on a holiday race around the track.

All of the decorations are solid white with special lighting effects that illuminate them in vibrant colors.

Unfortunately, the camera didn’t capture the vibrancy of the colors as well as I hoped, but you can still get the idea.

This area with presents was one of the most festive.

Everything was bright and cheerful with holiday tunes blasting in the background.

Everyone was laughing, especially the parents with children who were driving them. Trust me, they won’t be laughing in a few years when it’s time to get a permit. (If you know, you know.)

It was nice to ride right at sunset.

Before we knew it, we were back at the Victory Circle pulling into spot number 1.

Overall, the holiday overlay for Tomorrowland Speedway adds a special touch to the ride. If you have the opportunity to ride it, we think it’s worth the time.
