An Overview of Entertainment Offerings at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in 2025

For many of us, spending a regular day at Magic Kingdom is a pretty big deal. Yes, I’ve been fortunate to visit more than the average guest. No, it never gets old. So why pay the extra expense for a ticket to a special event like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party? That’s a difficult decision, which to me only has one answer: Entertainment.

If you’re a fan of characters, parades, stage shows, and fireworks, Magic Kingdom’s Halloween Party is oozing with these types of exclusive entertainment offerings. For us, they are the defining things that make the extra ticket worth it. Below, we’ll look at what you can expect to experience during the party. As always, it’s important to remember that it will be difficult to do everything. If we’re visiting with family or friends, we make the parade, fireworks, and villain’s stage show our top priorities.

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Fireworks Spectacular is the event-exclusive fireworks performance offered during the Halloween Party. The performance begins at 10:00 p.m. Times will be listed in the Entertainment section of the My Disney Experience app on the night of your visit. Here’s how Disney describes the performance:

Watch the skies come alive in a Halloween spectacular with lasers and fireworks! Gather ‘round as your host—Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas—delights with a not-so-scary tale that proves anything can happen at Halloween! During the frightfully fun fireworks display, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy are spirited away to a mysterious haunted house where they encounter dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts, and a sinister gathering of Disney villains!

Showtimes: 10:00 p.m.

Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade

Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade is, for us, the highlight of the evening. The parade is so popular that it’s offered twice nightly. This year, the first parade will once again take place at 8:15 p.m. to allow time for those visiting with little ones to enjoy the celebration. The second parade typically steps off at 11:15 p.m. Again, you’ll want to check the entertainment section for exact showtimes on the second parade this year if you intend to watch it. A few highlights of the parade include:

  • The Headless Horseman rides ahead of the parade. His ride usually takes place about 10 minutes before the start of the formal parade. He is a sight to see.
  • Special Character Sightings like Pain and Panic from Hercules, and Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck-It Ralph
  • Classic Disney characters, including Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle Cow, and Daisy Duck, dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus.
  • A Haunted Mansion parade unit that includes a floating ghostly bride, Hitchhiking Ghosts, and a troupe of ballroom dancers.
  • A Villains unit featuring some of the worst of them all, like Maleficent, the Evil Queen, and Jafar.

Showtimes: 8:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. (Starts in Frontierland)

If you were to ask me what’s the one must-do thing at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, I’d have to reply, Mickey’s Boo To You Parade! Your next question…

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

If you love Disney villains or are a fan of Hocus Pocus (or both!), you can’t miss the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! This performance happens 3-4 times a night on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. Showtimes will be listed in the Entertainment section of the My Disney Experience app. The last show of the evening is often performed at midnight and is the least crowded. So if you can stay up that late, it’s a fun way to end the evening. But if you’re not sure how long you’ll last, we would recommend seeing it earlier.

This fan-favorite performance includes the Sanderson sisters: Winifred, Sarah, and Mary. They are joined on stage by Disney villains like Hades, Cruella De Vil, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, and The Evil Queen!

Showtimes on Event Nights from August 15th through September 26th:

  • 9:05 p.m.
  • 10:35 p.m.
  • 12:00 a.m.

Showtimes on Event Nights from September 28th through October 31st:

  • 7:35 p.m.
  • 9:05 p.m.
  • 10:35 p.m.
  • 12:00 a.m.

Times typically shift due to the sun setting earlier in the evening.

Zombies Dance Party (New in 2025)

Each year, a dance party is held on the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. This year’s dance party is themed to Zombies. It celebrates the new Disney Channel film ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires. The dance floor is typically open between 7:00 p.m. and midnight.

Disney Junior Jam

Those with little ones can enjoy the Disney Junior Jam inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. This dance party will feature favorite Disney Junior characters on the dance floor. Cast members usually get involved and make sure that everyone who wants to participate joins in on the fun.

The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet

Head over to Frontierland, where The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet singing group will delight you with their “deadpan” humor. They play intermittently between 7:00 p.m. and 10:55 p.m.

The Rusty Cutlass Pirate Band

This troupe of performers can be found on the Adventureland Stage across from the entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean. They perform intermittently between 7:15 p.m. and 10:55 p.m.

Character Meet-and-Greets

As you probably know, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of the best places to meet rare characters. Each year, the party features a lineup of exclusive character meet-and-greets. It’s also the perfect place to meet infamous villains. We’ve seen characters like Lady Tremaine, Gaston, and the Queen of Hearts at the party, all rare characters indeed! Of course, it’s not all villains. Some of our favorite characters we’ve met at previous parties include Rock n’ Roll Stitch and Winnie the Pooh and Friends in their Halloween Costumes.

We keep an ongoing guide to meeting characters at the Halloween Party, if you would like a look at what to expect. But remember that characters are not guaranteed. We’ve updated the complete list of characters for the 2025 Halloween Party.
