Tike’s Peak: Why We Love This Frozen-Themed Play Area at Disney’s Blizzard Beach
If you plan to visit Blizzard Beach with the little ones, you’ll want to be aware of Tike’s Peak, the Frozen-themed play area designed specifically for children. This aquatic play area is perfect for parents to relax while watching their children enjoy the wading pool and other fun features. Tike’s Peak has a height limit of 48″, so you don’t have to worry so much about bigger kids taking over the scene.
Below, we’ll preview a few photos of Tike’s Peak and discuss the various activities in this designated children’s area. If you’re planning to set up camp here for the day, you’ll likely want to get a spot when the park first opens. Of course, that’s depending on when you visit. During the cooler months, the water parks are not nearly as busy, which tends to be when Blizzard Beach is open.
Tike’s Peak is toward the front right side of the park after you enter. After you enter the park, you’ll take a right at the first place where the sidewalk splits. The primary restrooms and changing rooms will be to your right, and the lazy river will be on the left. A small sidewalk ahead leads to Tike’s Peak. You’ll soon run into this sign with a couple of Snowgies welcoming you.

Tike’s Peak is for the enjoyment of children 48″ (122 cm.) and under. The youngest beach goers can slide, splash, and swim in this children’s play area, which features gentle body slides, an inner tube slide, interactive fountain, and a wading pool. For saftety, diaper age children must wear plastic pants or swim diapers. No Diving.
Near the entrance, life jackets and a height indicator are available in case your child has recently had a growth spurt. If your child is too tall, you’re probably off to Ski Patrol Training Camp, another fun area for slightly older children.
The wading pool sits in the center of Tike’s Peak. It features a few mild jets and small statues of favorite Frozen characters.
It gets pretty shady in this area toward the end of the day.
A miniature Kristoff and Sven are positioned on one of the snowbanks overlooking the wading pool.
You’ll see lots of Snowgies in various spots throughout the shallow pool.
Olaf sits in the center.
Anna and Elsa are building an igloo fortress toward the front of the wading pool.
The surface features pop-up water jets.
The raised area at the back of Tike’s Peak has three unique elements. This igloo features miniature snow-banked slides designed for those who might not be ready to take on the other two slides.
A couple of side-by-side downhill slides are available. They have a mild slope and exit into an area of the wading pool about ankle-deep. Here are a few photos.
A junior inner-tube ride sits opposite the downhill slides. A cast member is present at the top of this slide. You’ll board an inner tube in the small pool, and they will get you started on the slide.
Here is a photo of the mild slope. But it does go faster than you might think.
This slide exits into a separate wading pool with a lifeguard attendant.
A small sandbox is available near one of the sitting areas behind Anna and Elsa’s igloo fortress.
Lastly, seating areas and loungers are available at Tike’s Peak. If you’re considering renting a Polar Patio (cabana), you might be interested in the following:
- Polar Patio 7 and 8 are at the top of Tikes Peaks.
- Polar Patio 6 is at the base of Tikes Peak.
