What to Eat at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon (Locations, Menus, and Food Photos)

If you’re planning a trip to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, you might be curious about dining options. Combined, Typhoon Lagoon has approximately 14 quick-service restaurants, kiosks, and stands. Technically, the water park has one large and one medium-sized quick service; the rest of the locations offer snacks, ice cream, and deliciously guilty treats like funnel cake!

Some of the more popular treats include Dole Whip concoctions (this year, a bathtub sundae) and foot-long hot dogs! You can also get some quality quick-service entrees. In fact, I much prefer the quick service items at Typhoon Lagoon over most of the theme parks.

Below, we’ll look at all the dining options available at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Then, we’ll look at a few things we’ve tried. Unfortunately, a few popular treats, like the popular Hei Hei cone, the Moana cone, and the bright blue Stitch 626 cone, have disappeared since last season.

Mobile Orders at Typhoon Lagoon

It’s no secret that we love using the mobile order service at Walt Disney World, and Typhoon Lagoon is no exception. Both Leaning Palms (the major quick service location) and Typhoon Tilly’s offer mobile orders. You can place your order ahead of time and pick it up at a private window. This will save you so much time standing in line. If you’re dining during the busy lunch period, you’ll be able to pick up napkins and condiments, find a seat, and then send someone back to pick up your order.

Happy Landings

Happy Landings is a quick-service kiosk that primarily sells ice cream treats. It is located near the lazy river Castaway Creek, a few steps past Leaning Palms. An ice cream cone hangs over the lazy river, tempting guests to exit for a refreshing treat. (This is the area where children will spray water at unsuspecting guests in the lazy river!)

Happy Landings at Typhoon Lagoon

Their most popular item is the Sand Pail sundae, an ice cream treat that comes in a sand pail. The Sand Pail is a vanilla and chocolate swirl soft-serve with waffle cone pieces, vanilla cake, cookies’ n’ cream crumbles, hot fudge, caramel sauce, rainbow sprinkles, and a cherry layered into an exclusive sand pail bucket.

Here are a few other options:

  • Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae
  • Pineapple Upside-down Cone
  • Soft-Serve Sundae or Cone
  • Nestle and Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade
  • Mickey Ice Cream Bar

The pineapple upside-down cone is fairly new. It features Dole Whip pineapple, vanilla soft-serve, caramel sauce, vanilla cake, caramelized pineapple, and a cherry. It’s served under a white chocolate-dipped cone. We’ve seen a lot of people order this, and it looks like a tasty treat.

Update: As of Typhoon Lagoon’s summer reopening in May of 2025, refillable mugs are no longer available at the water parks. At this time, you can still purchase the Miss Tilly Sipper Cup, which offers refills for the entire day at select locations. Unfortunately, the sipper cup costs significantly more than the former refillable mug option. This also means you can no longer reactivate previously purchased mugs.

We’ve ordered the hot fudge brownie sundae a couple of times. If you love chocolate, this treat is perfect! It’s a soft-serve vanilla, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a homemade brownie.

Leaning Palms

Leaning Palms is the primary quick-service restaurant at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. When you enter the water park, you’ll take a left on the pathway that loops the lazy river. It dead ends at Leaning Palms and Happy Landings.

We almost always end up eating at Leaning Palms. However, I do like to compare the menu items from Typhoon Tilly’s. Tilly’s used to have more unique items, but these days, both locations have a nice variety. Again, use the My Disney Experience app to preview items so you don’t have to walk all over the park.

New menu items this year include;

  • Pork Elote Nachos: Pork, Tri-color Nacho Chips, Jalapeño Cheese Sauce, Elote Corn Dip, Jalapeños, and Guacamole with Chopped Cilantro
  • Shrimp Elote Nachos: Shrimp, Tri-color Nacho Chips, Jalapeño Cheese Sauce, Elote Corn Dip, Jalapeños, and Guacamole with Chopped Cilantro
  • Chicken Elote Nachos: Chicken, Tri-color Nacho Chips, Jalapeño Cheese Sauce, Elote Corn Dip, Jalapeños, and Guacamole with Chopped Cilantro

  • Blue Colada
  • Dole Whip Floats (Snack Credit Eligible Disney Dining Plan)

Next, we have the shrimp rice bowl. If you’re looking for something with a Caribbean flair, you’ll enjoy this dish. I would order it again and was impressed with the flavor.

Here is the Angus cheeseburger with fries. It’s a simple burger, but still a good option.

Often, we’ll visit the waterpark for a couple of hours in the afternoon. I almost always pick up an order of Typhoon Lagoon’s steak fries. They are lightly seasoned and a welcome change from the fries you usually get in the theme parks.

For collectors, the Miss Tilly sipper cup is back in stock this season. It’s available at Leaning Palms for $22.49. You can bring it back and have it reactivated like the regular water park refillable sipper.

Let’s Go Slurpin’

Let’s Go Slurpin’ is the bar near the Surf Pool. It is designed to look like a beach shack on the shoreline. This is an excellent place to pick up a cocktail and catch a few waves at the back of the surf pool. Just make sure to keep your chair behind the line. Don’t worry. The waves will still cool you off. But don’t forget the sunscreen. Like the beach, you won’t find any shade in this area.

You can pick up a few signature drinks at this location, like:

  • Pina CoLava: Bacardi Superior Rum blended with Piña Colada Mix and Raspberry Purée
  • Typhoon Tilly: Bols Blue Curaçao, Herradura Reposado Tequila, Sweet-and-Sour, and Lime Juice
  • Strawberry Daiquiri: Don Q Cristal Rum and Lime Juice blended with Strawberry Purée

You can pretty much order any regular cocktail, and they offer Disney’s signature cocktail menu. It’s the same menu that’s available at most pool bars property-wide. Beer, Hard Seltzer, and Hard Cider selections are available, along with draft beer.

Lowtide Lou’s

Lowtide Lou’s is a stand toward the back of the water park near the Keelhaul Falls water slides and Ketchakiddee Creek. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat if you’re spending time at the aquatic play area designed for children.

Lowtide Lou's at Typhoon Lagoon

Most of the items are snack bites or premade entree items. Those items include:

  • Shrimp Louie Lettuce Wrap (with chips)
  • Chicken Wrap (with chips)
  • Mickey Pretzel
  • Popcorn

Kids’ Meals include a turkey sandwich or PB&J Uncrustable. This location formerly had the stuffed jalapeno cream cheese pretzel. However, we haven’t seen it lately. It’s a very popular item that tends to come and go.

Snack Shack

Snack Shack is immediately next to Typhoon Tilly’s. It is easy to get the two confused. You’ll find them on the right side of the park, past Miss Adventure Falls. Snack Shack is usually the one with the long line for Dole Whip treats.

Those treats include:

  • The Dole Whip Bath Tub Sundae: DOLE Whip Pineapple, DOLE Whip Strawberry, and Green Matcha Tea Soft-serve
  • Dole Whip (Cup or Waffle Cone): This year’s flavors are pineapple, strawberry, and green matcha tree
  • Vanilla Soft Serve (Cup or Cone)
  • Strawberry Boba with Butterfly Pea Tea and Oatmilk
  • Strawberry Boba with Green Matcha Tea and Oatmilk
  • DOLE Whip Strawberry Mai Tai Float: DOLE Whip Strawberry with a blend of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Myers’s Original Dark Rum, Bols Blackberry Brandy, Minute Maid Orange Juice, and a splash of Fanta Strawberry
  • Dole Whip Soft Serve in a cup topped with a choice of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, El Jimador Silver Tequila, or Myer’s Dark Rum.

The Snack Shack has a few other items, like Mickey pretzels, chocolate chip cookies, a pina colada, soda, bottled water, and beer.

Typhoon Tilly’s

Typhoon Tilly’s is the other significant quick service at Typhoon Lagoon. It will be on the right immediately past Snack Shack before you get to the bridge near the Storm Slides and Humunga Kowabunga. If you’re facing Mount Mayday (and the shipwreck), this entire area is on the right side of the park.

Premium, Craft, and Domestic beers are available. A popular option is the souvenir cup with discounted same-day refills.

Kids’ meals include an entree, two sides, and a fountain drink (water, juice box, milk). This is a chicken breast and strips kids’ meal with a side of fries.

Here is the Shrimp Wrecked Salad. However, the menu description indicates that it has changed and now comes with completely different toppings.

Mini Donuts at Typhoon Lagoon

Two Joffrey locations are available at Typhoon Lagoon. The first is across from Singapore Sal’s and is called Mini Donuts.

You can order them by half a dozen or a dozen. But note that the dipping sauce is sold separately. (I do not know why.)

As you can imagine, the donuts are a popular snack. After years of seeing guests indulge in them, I finally decided to try them. I don’t know if it was too late in the day or what. But they were dry and pretty terrible.

Joffrey’s

A Joffrey’s Coffee stand sits near the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool between the poolside bar and funnel cake stand. This location has pastries, coffee, and other beverages.

Joffrey's coffee menu

Here is their menu. At this location, you can get various specialty coffee drinks, hot tea, flavored iced tea, and spirited beverages. They also have giant frosted donuts like those you see in the parks.

Funnel Cakes at Typhoon Lagoon

My personal favorite water park treat is a traditional funnel cake. This stand is a little difficult to find. It sits on the right side of the wave pool. This location sells funnel cakes with and without ice cream and chocolate sauce, Sno-Cones, cotton candy, and water.

We always request a light dusting of sugar. If you’re not careful, they will drown it in powdered sugar!

Here’s what a funnel cake looks like with a slice of ice cream. Some people take it a step further and have chocolate sauce drizzled over it.

Fruit Stand

Near the park’s entrance and gift shop, you’ll find a couple of snack carts with popcorn, chips, Mickey ice cream bars, novelty ice cream products, popsicles, and sodas.

Arctic Dots

Arctic Dots is also near the front of the park by the snack stand. This location sells frozen treats similar to Dippin’ Dots.

Flavors include rainbow ice, cookies n’ cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, banana split, cotton candy, cool mint crunch, and chocolate. Sizes come in kiddie, regular, or large.

Hammer Head Fred’s Dive Bar

Formerly, Typhoon Lagoon had a “swim with sharks” attraction. However, it permanently closed years ago. What’s left of the area was used to build Miss Adventure Falls, and the remainder is now filled in with sand and seating areas. This is also where you’ll find Hammer Head Fred’s Dive Bar.

Hammerhead Fred's

You’ll find a fun photo opportunity nearby!

Hammerhead’s menu includes Disney’s signature cocktails: the Grand Margarita, Rum Runner, Captain’s Mai Tai, Black Cherry Lemonade, and Banana Cabana. You can also pick up Fred’s Purple Siren, a frozen beverage. They also have a few wine options.

High ‘N’ Dry

High ‘N’ Dry is near the front of the park, across from the locker rentals. This is where you can rent a Beachcomber Shack or an umbrella with two lounge chairs. This location has a few snacks and beer on tap. It is also home to a frozen beverage machine that sells a mixture of Jack & Coke or Rum & Coke.

They had a few new drinks on our last visit:

  • Tropical Oceaneer Colada
  • Mojitos
  • Mojito Flight

They also had a few waterproof phone cases. We usually leave our phones in the locker, but if you need to keep one with you throughout the day, a waterproof case is highly recommended. (It might be cheaper to order one before your trip.)

Surf Doggies

Surf Doggies is a hot dog stand near the Surf Pool. They have hot dogs, sausages, and Mickey pretzels with cheese sauce. A plant-based Bratwurst is also available.

Tropical Amity Outpost

Tropical Amity Outpost is a quick service near the Crush ‘N’ Gusher attraction.

Tropical Amity Outpost Crush Cart

Crush Cart has several of the menu items we’ve seen at other locations, like all-beef hot dogs and the chicken wrap. They also have a chicken lo mein salad. This was the place to order churros. But it looks like they’ve been removed from the menu this season.

Final Thoughts

Overall, you’ll find plenty of things to eat at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. But if you prefer, you can pack your lunch and bring it in a cooler. Just remember that you can’t bring loose ice. Sometimes, I pack a small cooler with a couple of freezer walls and bring bottled water, cans of soda, and a snack. We always rent a locker, and I leave the cooler in it.
