Disney World in July 2026 (Weather, Crowd Expectations, and Details)
July is a busy month at Walt Disney World. The month starts with a bang (literally) in terms of the 4th of July holiday. It is one of my favorite times to visit.
This guide has been updated for 2026 pending news and announcements. We’ll provide those updates as they are announced.

July Weather
The weather in July is hot. It’s almost as insufferable as August and September, but not quite.
- Hydrate ahead of time and plan to stay hydrated during your trip. (This is so important.)
- Take breaks as needed. Check in with everyone in your party often. Some might need more breaks than others.
Hurricanes are also possible in July, so you’ll want to remain weather-aware. If you’re investing a decent amount of money in your trip (regardless of when you visit), you might want to consider purchasing trip insurance. To be fully transparent, as regular visitors, this is not something we do often for Disney World. But it is something that adds an extra layer of protection when we cruise or plan once-in-a-lifetime trips to other destinations. An authorized Disney travel planner can help you better discern should you have any questions.
Crowds in July
Many guests will tell you that the parks are packed, but we have found in recent years that it’s only slightly busier than the average day. Of course, someone who doesn’t visit often might have a difficult time discerning between a day with low crowds versus an extreme one. To the average guest, a regular day at Magic Kingdom might feel busy even if you visit on the slowest day of the year. I hope that’s fair.
Yes, more people will likely show up on the 3rd and 4th to participate in holiday festivities. But I wouldn’t go into my visit expecting the worst. If you have a bad attitude or anxiety about facing long lines before you arrive, it won’t make anything better.
