Disney’s All-Star Movies Pool Guide (Photos and Amenities)
If you’re planning a stay at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, you might want to take advantage of one or both of the resort’s pools. All-Star Movies offers two pools: the feature pool is themed to the animated classic Fantasia, and the resort’s secondary pool is themed to The Mighty Ducks. Below, we’ll discuss the pools hours of operation, complimentary amenities, and a few other aspects you’ll want to know ahead of time.
As a resort guest, you can use any of the pools at the All-Star Resorts. You might prefer, however, to choose a pool based on your room location. Or, if you’re spending an entire day or evening at the pool, you might like to take advantage of the amenities offered at the resort’s feature pool.

Pool Hours at All-Star Movies Resort
Before we preview the pools, let’s discuss a few need-to-know details. For starters, pool hours at Walt Disney World are pretty similar, no matter which resort you pick. The pools at Disney’s All-Star Movies are typically open from 10:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. from Labor Day to around Memorial Day. During the summer months, the pool hours are usually extended until 11:00 p.m.
Note that both pools at All-Star Movies (and the other All-Stars) are open the same hours. Some of the larger resorts have quiet pools that are open longer hours than the feature pools. That is not the case at any of the value resorts because all of the pools usually have life guard attendents.

Complimentary towels and lifejackets are provided at the pools, and a mobility lift is available at each pool. As you can see from the photo below, lifejackets come in a variety of sizes. You do not need to pack extra towels, either. A large bin provides fresh, clean towels daily. A restroom is available that offers a changing area, showers, and toiletries near the feature pool.

The Fantasia Pool (Photos)
Since All-Star Movies is a value resort, the pools don’t have many extras. For example, value resorts do not have water slides or hot tubs. If you’re hoping for those upgrades, you’ll want to consider a moderate or deluxe resort. Below is a photo of the Fantasia Pool at All-Star Movies. This is the resort’s primary pool, which sits directly behind the lobby.

It’s designed to look like a theater, with framing for a stage at the back. This is where a large fountain featuring Sorcerer Mickey sits. It makes for a fun water spray element.

The Fantasia Pool has a maximum depth of 5′ (5 feet).

Lifeguards are on duty at this pool during its hours of operation.

You’ll find plenty of lounge chairs surrounding the pool. However, note that tables and chairs with umbrellas are fairly limited.

During the afternoon, cast members offer a variety of recreational activities by the pool. They play games, music, and trivia with children. A few extra-cost craft items are available throughout the week. Sometimes, we see guests making tie-dye t-shirts or DIY ears. These extras are listed on the resort’s recreation calendar.
While I haven’t participated in the tie-dye shirt activity, I’ve been told that you’ll want to have enough days for the shirt to dry out if you’re flying. If not, you’ll need to wrap it up well in your suitcase. Movies Under the Stars are also held at The Reel Spot instead of the pool. The Reel Spot is located near the lobby, only a few steps from the Fantasia Pool.

Behind the Fantasia Pool, there’s a separately fenced kiddie pool and water play area.

A kiddie pool is available in a separately fenced area.

This area sits across the sidewalk from the pool in front of the resort’s laundromat. A splash pad is available on the opposite side of the kiddie pool. Children can easily move from one to the other.

Several covered tables with chairs are available in the immediate area.

Here is the entrance to the laundry room.

You can always do a little laundry while you’re at the pool if needed. We have a complete overview of the laundry facilities at Disney’s All-Star Movies if you want to learn more.

The Duck Pond Pool
Next, we’ll preview the Duck Pond Pool, the secondary pool at All-Star Movies. This pool is in the Mighty Ducks section of the resort. It’s not as large as the feature pool, but it’s still sizeable. It’s also convenient for guests staying in this area.

This entire wing of the resort is themed to The Mighty Ducks. The pool is designed to look like a hockey rink, except it’s a rectangle.

The Duck Pond Pool has a maximum depth of 5′ (5 feet).

Restrooms and a laundry room are located outside the pool area. These buildings are themed to look like locker rooms.

Here are a few more photos.
