Disney’s All-Star Music Resort Transportation Guide
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort offers only one form of complimentary transportation: buses. Despite this, it’s still one of our favorite value resorts! We’ve often stayed here and think the buses are a little cooler than everywhere else because they play great music. Come on, it’s the All-Star Music–they have to!
So don’t be surprised if you’re headed to Magic Kingdom the week before Christmas on a bus packed with strangers. Then, Sweet Caroline suddenly comes on over the audio system. You’ll soon find yourself singing in camaraderie with your resort family. I guess they aren’t strangers after all. (Bum-bum-bum, good times never seemed so good.)
In all seriousness, it’s essential to know your options for transportation at Disney’s All-Star Music. Below, we’ll review how to get from All-Star Music to the other significant Disney Destinations. Additionally, we’ll discuss how to get to several other popular locations that will require taking more than one form of transportation. Those destinations include Disney’s Boardwalk, the resorts on the monorail, and options for taking a leisurely ride on the Disney Skyliner. With the help of our guide, you’ll soon feel at ease about getting to and from Disney’s All-Star Music during your vacation. You can kick back, relax, and play a few tunes while packing!
Disney’s All-Star Music Transportation Options
As we discussed, you’ll have one option when it comes to transportation at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort:
- Disney’s Bus Service
Disney’s All-Star Music has one bus stop. It’s located off the main lobby. You can take the exit from Melody Hall or Maestro Mickey’s gift shop to reach the bus stop.
*Unfortunately, you cannot walk from the All-Star Music to a theme park. But you can walk between All-Star Sports, Music, and Movies Resorts. In the photo below, I’ve made a lavender line showing the shortest distance between each resort’s lobby. You will have to cross the parking lot between Music and Sports. You’ll unlikely use this route, but it’s an option should the need arise.
All-Star Music Bus Schedule
Disney’s All-Star Music has a dedicated queue for each of the following destinations:
- Magic Kingdom
- Epcot
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Disney Springs
- Typhoon Lagoon
- Blizzard Beach
- ESPN Wide World of Sports**
**You’ll want to check with the resort during your visit to learn more about scheduled transportation to ESPN Wide World of Sports. Often, the All-Star Resorts host large groups of student-athletes who travel to and from this venue for competitions.
Per Disney, “Bus service between Disney Resort Hotels and Disney Theme Parks begins 45 minutes prior to opening and ends one hour after closing.” That time includes extended theme park hours in the morning for resort guests and extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests.
Does All-Star Music Share Buses?
Yes and no. It depends on various factors. We try to stay at each Walt Disney World Resort at least once every two years. Our experience (consistently) has been that buses run on this type of schedule:
- Mornings (Buses were not shared with other resorts.)
- Late Mornings through Early Evenings (Buses were shared with other resorts.)
- After 5:00 p.m. (Buses were not shared with other resorts.)
The bus route will take longer with the extra stop at each resort. Is it a big difference? No, all of the resorts are near each other. It’s also not likely that many people are waiting at the bus stop during the slower times of the day. However, as shown in the photo below, you might run into extended buses during high crowd times. It’s common to see them during the busier seasons, such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter.
Disney’s All-Star Music to Magic Kingdom
You’ll take a bus from Disney’s All-Star Music Resort to Magic Kingdom. At the end of your visit, you’ll return to All-Star Music the same way. If you plan to visit any destination early in the morning, expect a long line at the bus stop. However, we have found that Disney usually has multiple buses servicing the resort bus stops during the busier times of the day (early morning and late evening).
Disney’s All-Star Music to Epcot
You’ll take a bus from All-Star Music to Epcot. Then, you’ll return to the resort in the same manner. Wait times for the buses are posted at each resort bus stop. So you’ll have a good idea of when the next bus will arrive. These times are based on the bus’s proximity to the resort via a signal from its location. We have found the posted wait times for the next bus reasonably accurate. However, the time might fluctuate if the bus runs into traffic or stops at a light.
Disney’s All-Star Music to Hollywood Studios
You’ll take a bus from All-Star Music to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Then you’ll return the same way.
Disney’s All-Star Music to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
You’ll take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom from All-Star Music and return to the resort similarly. Animal Kingdom will be the shortest distance from the resort. Disney’s All-Star Resorts are all located within the Animal Kingdom Resort area.
Disney’s All-Star Music to Disney Springs
When traveling to Disney Springs, you’ll take the bus, which will drop you off at the entrance to Town Center. The bus stop is between Town Center and the West Side when you leave Disney Springs. You can take a shortcut via a narrow walkway on the far side of Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill that leads to the bus stop. You can also take the walkway between the Coca-Cola Store and the Orange Parking Garage. (I mention this because you’ll want to have a reference point for returning to the bus stop.)
Disney’s All-Star Music to Disney Water Parks
It is rare to see direct bus service to and from Disney’s Water Parks. When Blizzard Beach is open, you’ll take a bus from All-Star Music to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. From there, you’ll find the bus stop that provides a transfer bus to Blizzard Beach. You’ll return to All-Star Music the same way.
You’ll take a bus from All-Star Music to Disney Springs for Typhoon Lagoon. From there, you’ll take a transfer bus to Typhoon Lagoon across the street. When you return to Disney Springs, you’ll have to locate the All-Star Music bus stop. We find the return trip to be a bit of a hassle.
You’ll want to pack a change of clothes and give yourself time to dry out for the ride back. The buses are freezing, and you’ll join guests coming from Disney Springs at the bus stop.
Tip: Often, when we’re on property, we have a car, so we’ll drive to and from the water park. However, if you don’t have a car, you might consider taking the bus to the water park and returning via a Minnie Van or a car service.
Disney’s All-Star Music to Other Disney Resorts
Lastly, I wanted to discuss the best ways to get to a few popular resort destinations for touring or dining reservations. I don’t know about you, but we love resort-hopping.
Disney’s All-Star Music to the Monorail Resorts
Guests regularly visit the monorail resorts for dining or touring. You can take a bus from Disney’s All-Star Music to Magic Kingdom to do this. From there, you will have to walk through security at Magic Kingdom. Then you can walk, boat, or monorail to the following resorts:
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (walk, boat, monorail)
- Disney’s Polynesian Resort (boat, monorail, technically can walk via the Grand Floridian walkway to Magic Kingdom)
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort (walk or monorail)
Disney’s All-Star Music to Disney’s Boardwalk
If you’re traveling to Disney’s Boardwalk or the other Epcot Resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, and the Swan and Dolphin), you can take a bus from All-Star Music to Hollywood Studios.
From Hollywood Studios, you can walk to the Boardwalk or take a Friendship Boat. You’ll want to return to All-Star Music in the same manner. However, if you’re staying out past theme park hours, you might have to order a car service if the buses are no longer running.
Disney’s All-Star Music to Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness
For Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, you’ll take a bus from the resort to Magic Kingdom. Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom, take a bus or a boat to either resort.
*During inclement weather, you’ll need to take a bus from Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness. Hopefully, you’ll get to take the boat, though. It’s a pleasant ride and part of the fun.
Disney’s All-Star Music to the Skyliner Resorts
If you want to ride the Disney Skyliner (for leisure), take a bus from All-Star Music to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and board the Skyliner. We have a separate guide that details the route. Disney’s All-Star Music to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
If you visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can take a bus from All-Star Music to the Animal Kingdom theme park. Then, board a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Animal Kingdom Lodge has two stops, Kidani Village and Jambo House. So you’ll want to know which stop you want before you get there.
Disney’s All-Star Music to the Disney Springs Resorts
If you want to visit one of the resorts near Disney Springs, you can take a bus from All-Star Music to Disney Springs. You’ll have these options:
- Walk or take a water taxi from the Disney Springs Marketplace to Disney’s Saratoga Springs.
- Take a water taxi from the Disney Springs Marketplace to Old Key West Resort, Port Orleans-French Quarter, or Port Orleans-Riverside.
If you do not want to walk across Disney Springs to the Marketplace and boat to these resorts, an alternative would be to take a bus to Hollywood Studios (during hours of operation) and then take a bus to that resort.

Need to Know: These tips are subject to Disney’s transportation hours of operation. If you’re traveling to a resort for breakfast, you might have difficulty taking a transfer bus early in the morning. In the mornings, the priority is to get people to the theme parks. So you will almost indefinitely wait longer for a bus to another resort.
Accessibility at Disney’s All-Star Music

A separate waiting area is available at the bus stop for those in wheelchairs and ECVS. You’ll want to wait in this area so the bus driver can quickly identify you upon arrival.
The bus driver will board you before allowing anyone else on the bus. Then your family will get to board first. This ensures that you aren’t separated from your party. Upon arrival, all guests will exit the bus. Then, the bus driver will lower the ramp so you can exit.
