Zawadi Marketplace at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Zawadi Marketplace is the gift shop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The gift shop carries a variety of collectibles and sundries, including a few African-inspired art items. You’ll find the gift shop on the immediate right past the Jambo House lobby’s main entrance. An additional entrance is available that connects guests to the outdoor walkway that leads to the bus stop. So you can cut through the shop on your way to and from the buses if you need to pick up something.
Zawadi Marketplace is open most days between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. While shop hours are fairly consistent, they could fluctuate. So, make sure to check the My Disney Experience app for the exact hours on the day of your visit.

Here is an overview of what you’ll find at Zawadi Marketplace.
Apparel
This shop often has a decent selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel. You should be able to find a few pieces of swimwear, should the need arise. You might also find African-inspired clothing.
Souvenirs and Resort-Branded Merchandise
This shop often has a better selection of resort-branded merchandise than Johari Treasures at neighboring Kidani Village. However, in general, the resort doesn’t have as many offerings featuring the resort’s logo and branding as some of the other hotels. At the very least, you should be able to find a couple of nice ball caps and similar items.
Grocery and Pantry Items
Here are a few grocery items that are typically available:
- Individual bottled Water, Soft Drinks, Juice, etc.
- Wine and Beer (available to guests 21+)
- Packaged Snacks (Chips, Granola Bars, Crackers, Cereal)
- Bread (Loaf Bread, Donuts, Pastries)
- Disney-branded Candy
- Refrigerated items (Milk, Juice, Yogurt, Sandwich Meat)
- Microwavable Meals, Sandwich Meat, Peanut Butter, Etc.

Since Animal Kingdom Lodge is also home to the Animal Kingdom Villas, a Disney Vacation Club Resort, the gift shop offers a decent selection of grocery items. We also always like to mention that if you can’t find something, always check with a cast member about availability. Most of the resorts have items that are not on display. As an example, they usually have gallon jugs of sterilized water for sleeping machines.
Health and Personal Care
Expect to find items like:
- Over-the-Counter Medications (Tylenol, Allergy Relief, etc.)
- Sunscreen and Aloe
- Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Razors, and Hygiene Products
- Baby essentials like Diapers, Wipes, Baby Food, Etc.
Seasonal Merchandise
Throughout the year, you’ll find a variety of seasonal or trendy merchandise like:
- Holidays (Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc.)
- The latest special collections, trends, or collaborations.
