Themed Sections at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is divided into four distinct themed sections inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar films. Each area features larger-than-life characters, immersive design, and room types tailored to different party sizes.
🚗 Cars Section
Inspired by Radiator Springs, the Cars Section features life-size characters from the movie franchise, Cozy Cone-shaped cabanas surrounding the wheel-well shaped pool, and themed landscaping that brings the film’s Route 66 to life. This resort area comprises family suites.

🐠 Finding Nemo Section
Located near the resort’s main amenities, the Finding Nemo section offers vibrant decor featuring fish and other sea creatures. This area is also comprised of family suites with larger accommodations. These suites will be within the closest proximity of the Disney Skyliner, Animation Hall (lobby and dining), and the Big Blue Pool, the largest single hotel pool at Walt Disney World.
🦁 Lion King Section
The Lion King section is another area solely comprised of family suites. This area sits between the Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid sections of the resort and features theming from Disney’s animated film The Lion King. This area of the resort offers a little more shade than elsewhere around the resort, and the rooms are fun. It is, however, the only section of the resort that doesn’t have its own pool.
🧜♀️ The Little Mermaid Section
The Little Mermaid section of Disney’s Art of Animation is the only resort area that offers standard value resort rooms. This section does not have any suites. Themed to Ariel’s undersea world, you’ll find towering statues of King Triton, Ursula, and Ariel herself. The landscape is all things bright and beautiful.
