The Health and Fitness Centers at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (Photos and Details)

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is home to two health and fitness centers. The first is La Vida Health Club Fitness Center, located in the Casitas section. The other is the Fitness Center at Gran Destino Tower, on the resort’s lobby level (2nd floor).

The La Vida Health Club and the tower’s Fitness Center are always open. You can access the gyms with your MagicBand or Keys to the World card, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It is important to note that guests must be 14 or older to use the fitness centers. Guests under 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult or guardian. This is pretty standard across the board at most resort gyms at Disney World.

It’s also worth noting that Coronado Springs is the only moderate resort at Walt Disney World that offers a gym. This is an amenity that you only find at Disney’s deluxe and deluxe villa resorts; Coronado Springs is an exception.

La Vida Health Club

The La Vida Health Club sits near the back of the pool in the Casitas section of the resort. The Casitas are a preferred village given their proximity to the convention center and El Centro, the resort’s main lobby. This fitness center was also formerly the resort’s “spa.” Sadly, most of the spa services at Disney World closed during the pandemic and never reopened. As of publish time, La Vida is now only a hotel gym.

Here is a look inside. You’ll find everything you need to keep up a regular exercise routine during your stay.

Plenty of free weights and dumbbells are available.

Dumbbells, Benches
Exercise Equipment: Kettlebells, Bosu Ball, Medicine Balls, Stability Balls

You can also take advantage of aerobics machines, but if you can take the heat, the resort offers a gorgeous setting for a walk or jog.

Gran Destino Tower Fitness Center

The Fitness Center at Gran Destino Tower is located on the lobby level. If you’re at the hotel’s elevator lobby, the gym’s entrance is just beyond it, in the back corner. Walk past the elevators, and you’ll see the tall door that’s pictured below. It says Fitness Center.

It’s a nice-sized gym. We’ve stayed at Gran Destino a couple of times and have taken advantage of it. The only time we ever found it crowded was during a hurricane, when everyone was stuck at the resort. This gym also offers plenty of free weights, strength training, and aerobic machines.

A beverage cooler is available with refrigerated towels. If you’re ever out for a run, you can stop in and grab one when you’re finished. A filtered water station is available near the gym’s entrance.
