Disney’s Grand Floridian Buses (Schedule, Stops, and Average Route Times)
One of the perks of staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian is having complimentary transportation to and from the theme parks and Disney Springs. While you’ll find a variety of transportation options at the resort, some destinations require a bus ride. So for this article, we’ll focus specifically on the bus system, including average travel times, internal bus stops, and what to expect during your stay.
Unfortunately, we can’t predict how long you’ll wait for a bus. We have, however, tracked multiple routes to provide real travel time averages from Grand Floridian to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. (These destinations all require a bus ride when using the resort’s complimentary transportation options.)
Other options include the monorail, boat service, bus service, and walking. However, each option is restricted to unique destinations. It’s also important to know that Grand Floridian often shares bus service to these destinations with Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. You’ll be the last stop on the way to the parks, so you’ll have an extra stop on the return trip. This is how the routes work:
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (2nd Stop)
- Disney Springs (Destination)
The return trip looks like this:
- Disney Springs (Board Bus)
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (Destination)
*Extra buses are usually available to the theme parks first thing in the morning. So, you might not always have that extra stop.

Important Observations
Grand Floridian’s bus stop is outside the main entrance to the right. The bus stop is toward the end of a covered walkway that leads to the nearby convention center. If you walk out the front doors and don’t see it, ask a cast member, and they’ll point you in the right direction. The bus stop is partially covered with several benches. It’s a small area that gets a little congested during the busier times of day.
