Grand Floridian Lobby Bar Updates (Chevron Tile, Blue Marble Counters, and More Stained Glass)
If it feels like we just visited the Grand Floridian to check out the lobby bar, it’s because we did last week. That said, since our last visit, a few more items have come together, like the new chevron tile surrounding the bar, blue marble counters, and more stained glass.
Update: Disney announced that the new lobby bar will open next week. They also shared that the Garden View Lounge will reopen in early 2026.

Since our last update about the stained glass panels added around the bar molding, I noticed a larger stained glass panel had been placed at the back of the bar.

Looking down from above, you might notice that a blue marble countertop has been installed along with chevron-patterned tile around the bar’s perimeter.

Here’s a closer look.

Overall, everything seems to be coming together rather quickly.

Here is one more angle that shows the panel. I think most will agree that the bar has a regal and Victorian look that complements the lobby.

Now, I would like to turn your attention to the back of the lobby, where we see that new stained glass panels have been added to the tea room area.

We can’t see much yet, but the bird theming continues.

It wasn’t terribly crowded on my Sunday visit, so I was able to take a few more photos. I was happy to find a hidden Mickey in the carpet.

I also took some more photos of the new seating arrangements.

The staircase looks incredible.

Here’s a better photo of the updated mural that’s about halfway down the stairs.
