Disney’s Old Key West Buses (Schedule, Stops, and Average Route Times)

One of the perks of staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort is having complimentary transportation to and from the theme parks and Disney Springs. Old Key West is served primarily by Disney buses and an additional water taxi service to Disney Springs. In this article, we’ll focus specifically on the bus system, including average travel times, internal bus stops, and what to expect during your stay.

While we can’t predict how long you’ll wait for a bus, we’ve tracked multiple routes to provide real travel time averages from Old Key West to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.

Old Key West has five internal bus stops: Hospitality House, Peninsular Road, Old Turtle Pond Road, South Point Road, and Miller’s Road. You’ll want to use the stop closest to your room, but note:

  • Theme park buses stop at all five stops, with Hospitality House as the final pick-up before leaving the resort.
  • Disney Springs buses stop at Hospitality House first and loop through the resort. Miller’s Road is the last stop before the Disney Springs bus leaves the resort.

This means you can take any theme park bus from your area to reach Hospitality House (the main lobby and recreation area). Likewise, if you’re at Hospitality House, you can take the Disney Springs bus back to your resort area.

Important Observations

If you see a message on the wait time screen at Hospitality House that says “Take a water taxi” to Disney Springs, you can ignore it. A bus is coming, even if the sign suggests otherwise. Every Disney Resort offers bus service to Disney Springs.

Also, remember that all stops are outdoor pavilions. You’ll want to pack an umbrella or poncho in case of rain, especially given Old Key West’s open-air layout.

Average Bus Travel Times from Disney’s Old Key West Resort

Below, we’ve provided the average travel time from the last bus stop that leaves the resort to each destination. Note that our travel times do not include how long we waited for the bus. Wait times signs are posted at the resort bus stop, indicating when the next bus will arrive. Again, these are the averages of several trips and do not consider extenuating circumstances like significant traffic.
