Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Restaurants Guide
When it comes to dining options, Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter is set up a little differently than the other moderate resorts. Perhaps the most notable difference is that the resort doesn’t have a formal table-service restaurant. That said, Port Orleans French Quarter has a counter-service restaurant, lounge, cafe, and poolside bar. We’ll specifically cover each of those dining options below.
Those unsure about the French Quarter not having a formal table service restaurant need not worry. Toward the end of this article, I’ll list a few other suggestions within close proximity. So let the good times roll because we’re headed down the bayou to Port Orleans French Quarter. There, we’ll see what kind of food you can expect to find on your next Walt Disney World vacation.
Port Orleans French Quarter Restaurants List
Here’s a list of the restaurants at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter:
- Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
- Scat Cat’s Club Cafe
- Scat Cat’s Club Lounge
- Mardi Grogs
Below, we’ll go over each of these locations in more detail.
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
We’ll start with Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, the primary counter service at Port Orleans French Quarter. This location is open daily from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is also the primary location for purchasing and refilling Rapid Fill mugs at the resort. They have numerous Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage machines.

For breakfast, the counter service offers entrees, sides, plant-based options, and kids’ meals. Here are a few items on the current menu:

- Mickey-shaped Waffles
- Loaded Totcho Bowl

- Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Bagel Sandwich

On our last stay at French Quarter, I enjoyed several breakfasts at the resort’s quick service. It should come as no surprise to longtime readers of the site that I ordered the oatmeal with cranberries kids’ meal. Generally, kids’ meals at Disney World come with two sides and a drink. So, I selected a side of sausage and apples with my meal. Instead of milk, I ordered a fountain drink.
In addition to my kids’ meal, I ordered a large coffee and picked up a side of yogurt from one of the refrigerated cases in the quick-service restaurant. Given the reasonable price, my kids’ meal felt like a great value. With the two sides, I had plenty of food, so I didn’t necessarily need the extra yogurt.
Port Orleans French Quarter also has plenty of outdoor seating and a pleasant atmosphere. This is one of my favorite places at Disney World to enjoy an al fresco meal. For lunch and dinner, the quick service offers even more variety. Here are a few items:
- Beef and Fried Shrimp Burger
- Shrimp and Grits
- Salmon
- Shrimp Po’Boy
- Pizza
- Pasta
- Salad
- Plant-Based Burgers

During my last stay, I ordered the Prime Rib Dip to take back to my room for dinner. This reminded me of the roast beef sandwich I used to order every time we stayed at Disney’s Beach Club. This roast beef sandwich is the kind of thing I feel every resort’s quick service should offer. My sandwich was freshly prepared, served with a hot side, and immediately cured my Disney hunger pains.
On a recent visit, I ordered the panko-crusted salmon with two sides and chose vegetables and roasted carrots. This was, surprisingly, a quality piece of salmon, and those carrots were delicious. If you’re burnt out on theme park food, this is a good alternative.

Scat Cat’s Club Cafe
If there’s one word associated with food at French Quarter, it’s beignets! Scat Cat’s Club Cafe is the primary place to order beignets at Walt Disney World. Take it from me: Mickey-shaped beignets make for an excellent breakfast. One morning, I combined an order of bacon from Sassgoula with an order of beignets and chocolate sauce. Each pillow-y bite of beignet dipped in soothing chocolate tasted heavenly. Of course, caramel and strawberry sauce are available if you don’t care for chocolate.
In addition to beignets, Scat Cat’s Club Cafe offers coffee, including specialty drinks like cappuccinos and cafe au lait.

Scat Cat’s Club Lounge
Scat Cat’s Club is not only a cafe. It also has a separate lounge off the resort’s main lobby. Technically, you could consider the lounge a table-service restaurant if you don’t mind combining a few small plates to make a meal. The Scat Cat’s Club Lounge opens daily between 5:00 and 12:00 a.m. Live entertainment is available on select nights. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Mardi Grogs
Lastly, we have Mardi Grogs, the pool bar at Port Orleans French Quarter. The outdoor bar sits toward the front of the Doubloon Lagoon pool area. While Mardi Grogs mostly offers beverages and cocktails, they have a few quick service options like pretzels, pre-made salads, and sandwiches.
You can preview their menu on Disney’s site. However, if you’re looking to enjoy a meal at the pool, I suggest placing a mobile order from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. Since the resort has a boutique layout, the quick service is not far from the pool. So you can order food in the My Disney Experience app and select “I’m here, prepare my order.” When the app alerts you that your order is ready, you can walk over to pick it up.
Restaurants Near Port Orleans French Quarter
You’ll want to be aware of a few other restaurants during your visit. Port Orleans Riverside, for example, has a few options worth considering. These locations are only a short walk or boat ride away:
- Riverside Mill Food Court
- Boatwright’s Dining Hall (Table Service)
- River Roost (Lounge)

Since Port Orleans French Quarter is located on Disney’s Sassagoula River, you can hop on a water taxi from the resort to Disney Springs, where you’ll find an extensive number of restaurants. A few favorites include:

Overall, Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter has admirable restaurant choices.
