Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Room Tour (50+ Photos)
Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter is a magical resort with charming rooms. We recently had the opportunity to experience the latest room renovation that was completed in 2025. The updates were impressive, and I spent about an hour photographing our room so you could see what to expect. Below, we’ll preview those photos, discuss the room’s amenities, and I’ll provide a few tips for making room requests.

For reference, this was room 3319, which was on the third floor of building three.

For this stay, I reserved a standard room with two queen beds. It was considered a garden view, but since moderate resort room categories change in early 2026, the view won’t matter so much. Disney has dropped the current room view upgrades for more simplified options. Any room options booked after January 1st will be standard, a preferred location, or a room with a king-size bed, with the latter two being considered upgrades. I do believe that this particular room (3319) will be considered a preferred location. From my understanding, preferred locations will be select rooms in buildings 2, 3, 4, and 5.
The edge of our building was next door to the lobby, making it an exceptionally convenient location. We have a map of Port Orleans French Quarter if you would like to see the layout. The photo below depicts the view from the walkway outside our room. That’s building two directly across the sidewalk. The resort’s pool is on the opposite side of it.

We were met with a pleasant interior when we opened the door.

Standard rooms come with two queen-size beds. These rooms sleep up to four guests. Port Orleans French Quarter does not have any rooms with a fifth sleeper option.

The left side of the room offered a seating area, a dresser with storage, and a flat screen television.

The bench with table in front of it was a nice touch.

Above it, we find two pieces of artwork from The Princess and the Frog. One features Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana dancing on the streets of New Orleans. The other has Louis playing an instrument in a jazz band.

Toward the front of the room, we see a window and an air-conditioning unit underneath it.

Here’s a view of the room looking from the back to the front with the two queen beds.

The beds are a platform style with room to store luggage underneath. They each have decorative panels above them with light fixtures.

A ceiling fan hangs in the center of the room.

Overall, the linens are pretty standard with white sheets and pillow cases. Note that a blanket is sandwiched between two white sheets. This is a nice setup, but should you need more, an extra blanket and pillow are available in the closet. You can also call housekeeping or use the “Hey Disney” device to request extra linens.

Both sides of the beds have a small pin light that flips out. This light is exceptionally bright and acts as a spotlight, should you need to get up in the middle of the night.

A nightstand sits between the two beds. You might notice the ledge above it for your mobile devices.

Here is that Hey Disney device. We usually unplug the cord at the back of it so we won’t be bothered by the extra light from the screen. A pamphlet is available that shares how you can use it.

A panel of switches is available between the headboards. They control the lights over each bed and the ceiling fan.

A few outlets and USB ports are available toward the back of the nightstand.

The bed on the left side of the room has an additional built-in shelf.

Here’s an additional view of the bed area.

A wall mount toward the front of the room has a place to hang jackets or other items.

All of the rooms at the French Quarter now have solid-surface floors.

The dresser provides plenty of storage with multiple drawers.

The countertop offers an additional area to place essential items.

The back of the dresser has two built-in charging ports.

All of the rooms at the resort offer a beverage cooler. Ours was stored behind a decorative screen door in the dresser.

Disney notes that beverage coolers keep drinks at about 41 degrees and above. This particular type of cooler should not be considered a refrigerator for perishable items.

Here is the inside. I stored a couple of waters and soda in ours, and it worked well. It wasn’t the same, however, as a crispy, ice-cold drink from a regular fridge. Ice machines are available on each floor near the elevators.

We had a Cuisinart dual cup coffee-maker. A couple of packets of Joffrey’s coffee and Twinings Tea were available. See our guide to coffee at Port Orleans French Quarter for more options around the resort.

This little corner over the dresser offered a few additional storage shelves along with a decorative touch.

Another thing I liked about our room at the French Quarter was the sliding panel door. This feature offers a little more privacy and noise reduction than the typical curtain divider.

Here’s a closer look at how the panel covers the entryway to the vanity area.

Note that the bathroom has a separate vanity area and water closet. Technically, someone could use the water closet, another could use the vanity area, and others could remain in the bedroom area, all simultaneously.

The water closet had a walk-in shower.

There wasn’t a ton of storage shelves except for this small nook in the shower.

You might not need too much extra space since the shower offers built-in toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

If you’re dealing with bathing little ones, a detachable showerhead is available.

To the left of the showerheads, you’ll see a retractable laundry line.

There is a connector on the opposite side of the shower. You can use the line for hanging wet clothing items like swimsuits if needed.

Here we have the vanity area.

All of Disney’s moderate resorts have two sinks. A ledge is available above the sink area for storing your personal items.

I appreciated the signage that indicated when a guest would receive housekeeping. Your room will obviously have received a full turnover on your check-in day. Then, you’ll receive full service every other day for the remainder of your stay, starting on day three. If you need any extras or trash removal, you can contact housekeeping, and they will take care of it.

You’ll have a few other storage spaces underneath the sink. I also thought the step-stool was a nice touch for little ones.

Aside from the shower, toiletries included a bar of bath soap and a tube of body lotion.

A makeup mirror was also available.

This photo shows the open closet area with a full-length mirror in the center.

We had a steam iron and an ironing board

Here is the hair dryer.

Below, you can see a space for hanging clothing with a few hangers.

I always appreciate a luggage rack, and there’s plenty of space to use it toward the front of the room.

An in-room safe is also available.

Lastly, we have a photo of the view from our room. It was a pleasant view and I enjoyed it when coming and going. That said, this is not the type of resort where the rooms offer a private outdoor space to sit and enjoy the view.

Overall, I love the most recent update to the rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter. I just looked back at the former room tour here, and was surprised at how different they turned out.
