Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Room Refurbishment Extended Through 2027
Disney has extended the ongoing room refurbishment project at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort. Work will now continue through August 2027, with construction taking place in phases across different areas of the resort. During this time, guests may see or hear refurbishment activity as updates are completed. Here is the updated wording for the refurbishment directly from Disney:
From early May 2025 through August 2027, Guest rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will undergo refurbishment throughout different parts of the Resort hotel. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area.
You may remember that the original room refurbishment announcement was specific to the Magnolia Bend section of the resort and was scheduled to end in February 2026. This new room refurbishment states that rooms throughout different parts of the resort will undergo refurbishment. It does not state the Alligator Bayou section of the resort, but during our last stay (a few weeks ago), most of the buildings in Magnolia Bend were complete. So it is likely that the refurbishment will continue in that direction.
