The Peter Pan Mural at Disney’s Riviera Resort (Photo Gallery)
Disney’s Riviera Resort has two custom murals that guests can enjoy when coming and going from the resort to the Disney Skyliner. The murals are in a tunnel toward the end of the west wing. One represents Peter Pan, and the other Tangled.
This threshold between the resort and its primary mode of transportation celebrates the magic of flight. You may remember that the Disney Skyliner opened in September of 2019, and the Riviera Resort only a few months later in December of the same year. The artists behind these murals used over a million shimming hand-cut glass tiles in the process. It is an incredible transition to see on the way to the parks, and it also welcomes you home to the resort at the end of a long day. It’s especially beautiful at night.

We have a separate photo post of the Tangled Mural at Disney’s Riviera Resort. It sits on the resort side of the tunnel.

The Peter Pan mural is opposite. A pair of fountains sits between them. You might notice in the photo below that a small bridge crosses the tunnel. If you’re staying at the resort, you can take the second-floor hallway to the end of the west tower. It offers a unique perspective of both murals.

One side of the Peter Pan-inspired mural features the Big Ben clock tower in London. A whimsical path of stars wraps around the mural as it extends to the sky.

Look up and you’ll find black silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, John, and Michael (teddy bear and all). You can fly!

They are surely off to Neverland. You might also think of the happiest things before you take flight on the Disney Skyliner.

The opposite side of the mural features a golden ship that appears to be taking off from Neverland. The moon hangs overhead.

I was lucky to get these photos without anyone in them. There is almost always someone coming and going through the area.

If you’re staying at or visiting the resort, make sure to take a little extra time to see them!
