Disney’s Swan Hotel Room Tour (Photos, Amenities, and Details)
Disney’s Swan Hotel boasts an incredible location that’s within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We recently had the opportunity to stay here in one of the updated guest rooms. The resort’s entire room renovation was completed earlier this year. Upon arrival, I spent some time photographing every detail of the room to provide you with an idea of what to expect. Below, we’ll sort through the photos, highlight the room’s amenities, and I’ll offer a few tips on room requests.
You’ll want to know that Disney’s Swan and Dolphin consist of three separate hotels that all share amenities. They are the Swan, Dolphin, and the Swan Reserve. We have a separate tour of the rooms at the Swan Reserve here, which is a significantly younger resort. The room tour below is for the Swan Hotel.

For reference, this was a regular room with a standard view. It was room number 470 on the West side of the resort.

The room featured two queen-size beds with solid surface flooring and a rug underneath the bed area. We’ve gone from carpeted rooms to rooms with no carpets to rooms with minimal carpet over the last 10 years or so. That said, I feel like the rug is a nice touch and something that could be replaced much more simply than an entire room of carpet if the need arises.

Most of the room views at the Swan hotel are decent as long as you’re high enough above the resort’s front entrance. (That is not the case at the Dolphin, where more standard rooms have unpleasant roof views.)

As you can see, we were just barely above the front of the resort. The red and yellow buildings in the distance are Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.

To our right, we were able to get a glimpse of the Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If we had been a floor or two higher, the view would have been significantly better. You can see our view from the resort’s 12th floor in our retired room tour if you like. That room faced the same direction, except it was from the east side of the resort. If you’re making a room request for a standard view, you might consider requesting a higher floor.

Our room was plain, simple, and exceptionally clean. The headboard extended across the feature wall that was painted blue. Each headboard had a faux leather-padded area you could rest against while reading or watching television. Both beds have four plush pillows.

I took this picture of the linens to show that we had a comforter. This was a nice surprise, and I didn’t even have to request an extra blanket.

A lamp sits on a nightstand between the beds.

The base of the lamp had a couple of outlets and USB ports.

A tray with an ice bucket, glasses, and two bottles of water sits underneath the nightstand. The last time I stayed at the Swan, the daily resort fee included two waters a day. When I checked in, the staff member gave me a card that listed what was included in the daily resort fee. The water was no longer listed. It would have been nice if this had been clear.

Here, we have a closer look at the flooring. While the beds are a platform style, they don’t offer room to store luggage underneath them like most of the Disney Resorts.

The former table on rollers was still in the room with an updated chair. This is one of my favorite room amenities. I used to roll the table up to the bed and let my son or niece use it to have a meal while watching television.

Here’s a closer look.

Speaking of TV, the room has a flatscreen with a dresser underneath.

The dresser is where you’ll find the room’s mini fridge tucked away.

On top of the dresser, you’ll find a single-cup coffee maker with accompaniments and coffee.

Our room had a couple of tea bags, regular, and decaffeinated coffee.

Toward the front of the room, you’ll find the bath and vanity area.

I’ve always really liked this space because one vanity is open while the other is in the water closet, allowing room for multiple guests to get ready at the same time.

The outer vanity area has a sink, toiletries, and a mirror.

Toiletries included a makeup remover wipe, a skincare bar, and a vial of body lotion.

This area also had a makeup mirror.

Here’s a photo of the room’s standard Conair hair dryer.

The area underneath the vanity is open.

Next, we have a photo of the additional vanity area in the water closet.

This room had a bathtub with a shower combination. Note that some of the rooms have walk-in showers.

Here is the rain-style showerhead with a detachable option.

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash pumps are installed on the back of the shower wall. These are all great options and will eliminate the need (for most) to pack these items.

The room’s closet area has plenty of room to hang items.

Inside, you’ll find a pillow and extra blanket, a luggage rack, a robe, an iron, an ironing board, and an in-room safe.

Here’s one final look at our room.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Disney’s Swan Hotel and always look forward to returning. This has been one of our go-to hotels at Disney World since the early 2000s. You can’t beat the location, and the resort’s pool area is pretty incredible. See our guide to the pool areas at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin for photos.
